Near infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging is an emerging modality that can enable real-time image-guided surgery. Indocyanine green (ICG) is an FDA approved, inexpensive, and widely available NIR dye. We hypothesized that axillary lymphatic mapping with ICG is equivalent to lymphatic mapping with technetium 99m (Tc) in breast cancer patients.

This meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate the diagnostic value of near-infrared (NIR) or fluorescent indocyanine green (ICG) guided sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping in gastric cancer (GC).
Fluorescent imaging with indocyanine green can be used to visualize lymphatics. Peritumoral injection of indocyanine green may allow for visualization of every draining lymph node from a primary lesio...
Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy in the Treatment of Endometrial Cancer: Why We Fail? Results of a Prospective Multicenter Study on the Factors Associated with Failure of Node Mapping with Indocyanine Green.
The sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping for endometrial cancer staging is gaining wide diffusion, but there is no definitive evidence on the factors associated with the failure of mapping.
To identify factors that affect successful adaptation of sentinel lymph node mapping and those that lead to unintended adipose-only sentinel lymph node identification.
Sentinel lymph node procedures for gastric cancer resections using indocyanine green (ICG) linked to Nanocoll outperformed normal ICG but did not provide information on possible lymph node metastasis....
This study will try to define an appropriate dose of the investigational drug indocyanine green (ICG) in combination with near infrared (NIR) imaging to use for future studies. ICG is a d...
In this study, navigation of lymphatic passage after sentinel lymph node with indocyanine green was performed during axillary lymph node dissection in breast surgery . By comparing the con...
The goal of this clinical research study is to find lymph nodes before surgery using a dye called indocyanine green (IC-Green). Objectives: 1. To determine the feasibility of usi...
Cervical lymph node involvement, in head and cancer neck patients, is one of the most important prognostic factors. Currently patients undergo neck dissection removing some or all nodes a...
The project investigates the feasibility of laparoscopic fluorescent imaging for the intraoperative detection of the sentinel lymph node (SLN) in colon cancer patients. In addition, the to...
First lymph node to receive drainage from the primary tumor. SENTINEL LYMPH NODE BIOPSY is performed to determine early METASTASIS status because cancer cells may appear first in the sentinel node.
A diagnostic procedure used to determine whether LYMPHATIC METASTASIS has occurred. The sentinel lymph node is the first lymph node to receive drainage from a neoplasm.
Malignant lymphoma in which the lymphomatous cells are clustered into identifiable nodules within the LYMPH NODES. The nodules resemble to some extent the GERMINAL CENTER of lymph node follicles and most likely represent neoplastic proliferation of lymph node-derived follicular center B-LYMPHOCYTES.
The local lymph node assay (LLNA) is an alternative method for the identification of chemicals that have the ability to cause skin sensitization and allergic contact dermatitis. Endpoints have been established so fewer animals are required and less painful procedures are used.
The historic designation for scrofula (TUBERCULOSIS, LYMPH NODE). The disease is so called from the belief that it could be healed by the touch of a king. This term is used only for historical articles using the name "king's evil", and is to be differentiated from scrofula as lymph node tuberculosis in modern clinical medicine. (From Webster, 3d ed)

Surgery is a technology consisting of a physical intervention on tissues. All forms of surgery are considered invasive procedures; so-called "noninvasive surgery" usually refers to an excision that does not penetrate the structure being exci...
In order to become availible to pateints, drugs need to undergo a number of phases of clinical trials to test their efficacy and safty and to then be authorised by the drug approval organistion in each respective country. This is the FDA in the USA and N...
