Stage III colorectal cancer is an indication for adjuvant chemotherapy; however, there is no definite view on the selection of regimen. If the recurrence can be predicted, it can serve as the indicator of regimen selection. The present study aimed to predict the recurrence of stage III colorectal cancer by constructing a simple scoring system.

We attempted to examine the factors contributing to the difficulty in performance of colorectal ESD, with the aim of constructing a scoring system that could help in prediction of the difficulty level...
5-year overall survival of stage III colorectal cancer (CRC) patients treated with standard adjuvant chemotherapy (ACHT) is highly variable. Genomic biomarkers and/or transcriptomic profiles identifie...
Sleep stage scoring is essential for diagnosing sleep disorders. Visual scoring of sleep stages is very time-consuming and prone to human errors. In this work, we introduce an efficient approach to im...
Fibrosis affects prognoses for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Several non-invasive scoring systems have aimed to identify patients at risk for advanced fibrosis, but inconclus...
This article presents national data (excluding Quebec) on cancer incidence by stage at diagnosis for lung, colorectal, female breast and prostate cancers. Data from the Canadian Cancer Registry are co...
The purpose of this study is to develop an artificial intelligence(AI) assisted scoring system, which can evaluate the disease severity and mucosal healing stage in patients with ulcerativ...
Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory disease in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It is characterized by an alternating course between remission and relapse, which necessitates su...
The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the performance of an artificial intelligence(AI) assisted Boston Bowel preparation Scoring(BBPS) system for evaluation of bowel cleann...
RATIONALE: Following patients who have undergone surgery for colorectal cancer may help doctors learn more about the disease and plan better follow-up care. PURPOSE: This randomized clini...
RATIONALE: Gathering information over time from patients who have finished treatment for colorectal cancer may help doctors predict which cancer survivors will improve their physical activ...
Tumors or cancer of the COLON or the RECTUM or both. Risk factors for colorectal cancer include chronic ULCERATIVE COLITIS; FAMILIAL POLYPOSIS COLI; exposure to ASBESTOS; and irradiation of the CERVIX UTERI.
Tumor suppressor genes located in the 5q21 region on the long arm of human chromosome 5. The mutation of these genes is associated with the formation of colorectal cancer (MCC stands for mutated in colorectal cancer).
Tumor suppressor genes located in the 18q21-qter region of human chromosome 18. The absence of these genes is associated with the formation of colorectal cancer (DCC stands for deleted in colorectal cancer). The products of these genes show significant homology to neural cell adhesion molecules and other related cell surface glycoproteins.
A group of autosomal-dominant inherited diseases in which COLON CANCER arises in discrete adenomas. Unlike FAMILIAL POLYPOSIS COLI with hundreds of polyps, hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal neoplasms occur much later, in the fourth and fifth decades. HNPCC has been associated with germline mutations in mismatch repair (MMR) genes. It has been subdivided into Lynch syndrome I or site-specific colonic cancer, and LYNCH SYNDROME II which includes extracolonic cancer.
Nuclear phosphoprotein encoded by the p53 gene (GENES, P53) whose normal function is to control CELL PROLIFERATION and APOPTOSIS. A mutant or absent p53 protein has been found in LEUKEMIA; OSTEOSARCOMA; LUNG CANCER; and COLORECTAL CANCER.
