Dichelobacter nodusus an anaerobic bacterium having fastidious growth requirements is the principle cause of foot rot associated with lameness in sheep and goat. In India serogroup B and E have been recorded as major cause of footrot. We report here draft genome sequence of Dichelobacter nodosus serogroup E strain from a case of virulent foot rot in India.

We present the draft genome sequence of sp. BBL2006, a moderately halophilic, gram positive bacterium isolated from a sulfidic salt spring in Big Bone Lick State Park, Boone County, Kentucky. The gen...
We report here the draft genome sequence of a methicillin resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis strain PR246B0 (sequence type 59) isolated from a pooled rectal sample from pigs collected in an abattoir...
Escherichia coli isolates carrying mcr-1 are rarely reported in diarrheal patients. We report here the draft genome sequence of colistin-resistant E. coli isolated from a hospitalized patient with acu...
Here we report the draft genome sequence of a colistin resistant hypermucoviscous Klebsiella pneumoniae isolated from a hospitalised patient with acute kidney injury in Kolkata, India.
The decline in invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD), following the introduction of the 7-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccination (PCV-7), was tempered by emergence of non-vaccine serotypes, particula...
The proposed study is aimed to assess the antibody response and short-term persistence of Novartis Meningococcal B Vaccine after one, two or three doses and to evaluate the optimal vaccina...
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of two serogroup B meningococcal vaccines in comparison to placebo administered to healthy adolescents ages 11 to 1...
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the immunogenicity, safety and reactogenicity of 3 doses of the meningococcal serogroup B vaccine when given, using either a 0-2-4 month or a 0-1-6...
This research is being done to see if whole genome sequencing (WGS) improves the diagnosis of patients in the NICU. Using WGS in this way, which is relatively new, researchers at Penn Stat...
Syphilis is an important sexually transmitted infection. There has been an epidemic of syphilis amongst men who have sex with men in the United Kingdom in the last decade. Early infection ...
A gram-negative, obligate anaerobe of the family Cardiobacteriaceae. It has polar fimbriae and is the causative agent of ovine FOOT ROT. It is the lone species in the genus Dichelobacter.
A disease of the horny parts and of the adjacent soft structures of the feet of cattle, swine, and sheep. It is usually caused by Corynebacterium pyogenes or Bacteroides nodosus (see DICHELOBACTER NODOSUS). It is also known as interdigital necrobacillosis. (From Black's Veterinary Dictionary, 18th ed)
A coordinated effort of researchers to map (CHROMOSOME MAPPING) and sequence (SEQUENCE ANALYSIS, DNA) the human GENOME.
Short tracts of DNA sequence that are used as landmarks in GENOME mapping. In most instances, 200 to 500 base pairs of sequence define a Sequence Tagged Site (STS) that is operationally unique in the human genome (i.e., can be specifically detected by the polymerase chain reaction in the presence of all other genomic sequences). The overwhelming advantage of STSs over mapping landmarks defined in other ways is that the means of testing for the presence of a particular STS can be completely described as information in a database.
Highly contagious infectious dermatitis with lesions near the interdigital spaces usually in cattle. It causes discomfort and often severe lameness (LAMENESS, ANIMAL). Lesions can be either erosive or proliferative and wart-like with papillary growths and hypertrophied hairs. DICHELOBACTER NODOSUS and TREPONEMA are the most commonly associated causative agents for this mixed bacterial infection disease.
Bioinformatics is the application of computer software and hardware to the management of biological data to create useful information. Computers are used to gather, store, analyze and integrate biological and genetic information which can then be applied...
