The extravasation of chemotherapeutic agents is a challenge for oncologic care teams. The management of nonliposomal (conventional) anthracyclines is well established in clinical practice guidelines, ...
To overstep the dilemma of chemical drug degradation within powerful lysosomes of tumor associated macrophages (TAMs), a sialic acid-polyethylenimine-cholesterol (SA-PEI-CH) modified liposomal doxorub...
Liposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI) plus 5-fluorouracil and leucovorin (5-FU/LV) is approved for patients with metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (mPDAC) previously treated with gemcitabine-based ...
Purpose To assess pertuzumab plus trastuzumab and an aromatase inhibitor (AI) in patients with human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive and hormone receptor-positive metastatic/locally...
Combination antibody treatment controls HIV infection in phase 1 trial.
Liposomal Doxorubicin and Trastuzumab in Treating Women With Advanced Breast Cancer
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies such as trastuzumab can locate tumor cells and either kill them or deliver...
RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy use different ways to stop tumor cells from dividing so they stop growing or die. Monoclonal antibodies such as trastuzumab can locate tumor cells and...
T-DM1 and Non-pegylated Liposomal Doxorubicin in HER2-positive Metastatic Breast Cancer
The primary goal is to determine the maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of the combination of T-DM1 and non-pegylated liposomal doxorubicin in metastatic breast cancer (mBC) patients previously ...
CETRA: Neoadjuvant Caelyx and Trastuzumab in Her-2 Positive Breast Cancer
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the rate of pathologic complete response when giving docetaxel and trastuzumab followed by caelyx (liposomal doxorubicin), cyclophosphamide and tra...
This study is a 2 part, 2 cohort, open-label, dose escalation/de escalation study of AMG 386 in combination with either pegylated liposomal doxorubicin or topotecan in subjects with recurr...
Clinical Trial, Phase Iii
Work that is a report of a pre-planned, usually controlled, clinical study of the safety and efficacy of diagnostic, therapeutic, or prophylactic drugs, devices, or techniques after phase II trials. A large enough group of patients is studied and closely monitored by physicians for adverse response to long-term exposure, over a period of about three years in either the United States or a foreign country.
Interphase
The interval between two successive CELL DIVISIONS during which the CHROMOSOMES are not individually distinguishable. It is composed of the G phases (G1 PHASE; G0 PHASE; G2 PHASE) and S PHASE (when DNA replication occurs).
Equivalence Trial
Trial that aims to show a new treatment is no better and no worse than the standard treatment.
Metabolic Detoxication, Phase I
Functionalization of exogenous substances to prepare them for conjugation in PHASE II DETOXIFICATION. Phase I enzymes include CYTOCHROME P450 enzymes and some OXIDOREDUCTASES. Excess induction of phase I over phase II detoxification leads to higher levels of FREE RADICALS that can induce CANCER and other cell damage. Induction or antagonism of phase I detoxication is the basis of a number of DRUG INTERACTIONS.
G2 Phase
The period of the CELL CYCLE following DNA synthesis (S PHASE) and preceding M PHASE (cell division phase). The CHROMOSOMES are tetraploid in this point.
