The Role of Maintenance Therapy in Patients With Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Randomized trials of maintenance therapy (MT) in Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) are inconclusive regarding its effect on overall survival (OS) and disease control. We aimed to examine the effic...

Role of radiotherapy in patients with limited diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of Waldeyer's ring in remission after R-CHOP immunochemotherapy.

The standard treatment of waldeyer's ring DLBCL remains controversial. This retrospective study was designed to evaluate the role of consolidation radiotherapy (RT) in patients with stage I/II diffuse...

Clinicopathological analysis of primary intestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: Prognostic evaluation of CD5, PD-L1, and Epstein-Barr virus on tumor cells.

Primary intestinal diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (iDLBCL) is rare. In this study, we investigated the clinicopathological features of this disease to further understand the prognostic value of CD5, pr...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

B-cell lymphoid tumors that occur in association with AIDS. Patients often present with an advanced stage of disease and highly malignant subtypes including BURKITT LYMPHOMA; IMMUNOBLASTIC LARGE-CELL LYMPHOMA; PRIMARY EFFUSION LYMPHOMA; and DIFFUSE, LARGE B-CELL, LYMPHOMA. The tumors are often disseminated in unusual extranodal sites and chromosomal abnormalities are frequently present. It is likely that polyclonal B-cell lymphoproliferation in AIDS is a complex result of EBV infection, HIV antigenic stimulation, and T-cell-dependent HIV activation.

A class of statistical procedures for estimating the survival function (function of time, starting with a population 100% well at a given time and providing the percentage of the population still well at later times). The survival analysis is then used for making inferences about the effects of treatments, prognostic factors, exposures, and other covariates on the function.

Malignant lymphoma composed of large B lymphoid cells whose nuclear size can exceed normal macrophage nuclei, or more than twice the size of a normal lymphocyte. The pattern is predominantly diffuse. Most of these lymphomas represent the malignant counterpart of B-lymphocytes at midstage in the process of differentiation.

Anaplastic lymphoma of the skin which develops as a primary neoplasm expressing the CD30 ANTIGEN. It is characterized by solitary nodules or ulcerated tumors.

Strategy for the analysis of RANDOMIZED CONTROLLED TRIALS AS TOPIC that compares patients in the groups to which they were originally randomly assigned.
