Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) has recently emerged as a useful predictor of cardiovascular risk and adverse outcomes. According to previous studies, an NLR > 5 has the highest sensitivity and specificity for postoperative morbidity and mortality in cardiovascular disease. This study aims to evaluate the NLR in cases of unruptured (uAAA) and ruptured (rAAA) infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) and to assess the role of NLR as a prognostic marker of 30-day mortality in patients with unruptured and ruptured AAA who underwent surgical repair.

Studies have indicated neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), Platelet/Lymphocyte ratio (PLR), and platelet/neutrophils ratio (PNR) to be inflammatory markers. The correlation of these values in infants o...
Abnormal changes in immune-mediated inflammation contribute to the pathogenesis of preeclampsia (PE). We aim to investigate the value of systemic immune inflammation indices-neutrophil-lymphocyte rati...
We aimed to evaluate the neutrophil lymphocyte and platelet lymphocyte ratios among euthymic adolescents with bipolar disorder (BD) type I. Thirty-six adolescents with BD and 30 healthy controls were ...
The objective of this study was to investigate the prognostic significance and the efficacy evaluation of total lymphocyte count (TLC), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), and platelet-to-lymphocyte...
Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) is a common acute disease with an incidence of 0.5-2/10,000. This study aimed to determine whether neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphoc...
Neutrophil lymphocyte ratio NLR is an important index that evaluate the inflammatory status . It is a cost effective and readily available , and simply calculated , so that why investigato...
An association between white blood cell count (WBC), neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio , and inflammatory process is well known . Ischemic preconditioning reduces the inflammation
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease characterized by synovial inflammation and joint destruction that follows a relapsing- remitting course.Disease activity assessment is importa...
Evaluation of neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio, Platelet /lymphocyte ratio and CRP as markers of severity of Pre-eclampsia
Inflammation begins during early stages of CKD in which neutrophil counts are increased, whereas lymphocyte counts are decreased during inflammation. In addition to known conventional indi...
The ratio of two odds. The exposure-odds ratio for case control data is the ratio of the odds in favor of exposure among cases to the odds in favor of exposure among noncases. The disease-odds ratio for a cohort or cross section is the ratio of the odds in favor of disease among the exposed to the odds in favor of disease among the unexposed. The prevalence-odds ratio refers to an odds ratio derived cross-sectionally from studies of prevalent cases.
The process in which the neutrophil is stimulated by diverse substances, resulting in degranulation and/or generation of reactive oxygen products, and culminating in the destruction of invading pathogens. The stimulatory substances, including opsonized particles, immune complexes, and chemotactic factors, bind to specific cell-surface receptors on the neutrophil.
