A method for the simple and efficient iodoselenylation of simple alkynes under mild conditions using commercially available molecular iodine (I2) and diorganoyldiselenides as starting materials has been developed. A broad range of alkynes can be employed to afford (E)-β-iodoalkenyl selenides in good to excellent yields and with high regio- and stereoselectivity without the need for any protecting groups.

We report herein the substrate controlled regio- and stereoselective hydroamination of carbazoles, aza-carbazoles and γ-carbolines with functionalized aromatic as well as aliphatic alkynes in KOH/DMS...
A concise approach to Neu5Ac-α-2,3-LacNPhth trisaccharide derivative was developed. Firstly, the regio/stereoselective glycosylation between glycoside donors and glucoNPhth diol acceptors was investi...
A regio- and stereoselective silver-catalyzed formal carbene insertion into 1,3-dicarbonyls has been developed, using N-nosylhydrazones as diazo surrogates. Two new C-C bonds are constructed at the ca...
Regio- and Stereoselective Electrophilic Cyclization Approach for the Protecting-Group-Free Synthesis of Alkaloids Lennoxamine, Chilenine, Fumaridine, 8-Oxypseudoplamatine and 2-O-Methyloxyfagaronine.
A unified strategy for protecting-group-free synthesis of alkaloids lennoxamine, chilenine, fumaridine, 8-oxypseudoplamatine and 2-O-methyloxyfagaronine is reported. The core isoindolin-1-one and isoq...
Chiral selenide-catalyzed oxytrifluoromethylthiolation of aliphatic internal alkenes by a formally intermolecular strategy is disclosed, affording CFS 1,3-amino alcohol and 1,3-diol derivatives with h...
The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of selenium as selenomethionine that is required to optimize selenoprotein P in selenium-deficient Chinese subjects
Primary objectives: 1. To comprehensively characterize steady state stereoselective pharmacokinetics of bupropion and its primary and secondary metabolites in healthy volunteers ...
This study is being conducted to determine if patients with cirrhosis (liver disease) are selenium deficient. The effect of supplementation with two chemical forms of selenium on plasma se...
The purpose of this study is to determine whether patients with liver cirrhosis can improve their selenium nutritional status by taking supplemental selenium.
As one of the essential micronutrients, selenium has important biological functions. However, an effective and convenient method for evaluation of selenium nutritional status has not yet b...
A selenium compound used as a source of SELENIUM, especially for patients that develop selenium deficiency following prolonged PARENTERAL NUTRITION.
Unstable isotopes of selenium that decay or disintegrate emitting radiation. Se atoms with atomic weights 70-73, 75, 79, 81, and 83-85 are radioactive selenium isotopes.
A group of proteins that covalently attach to selenium or SELENIUM-containing compounds.
Inorganic compounds formed through the oxidation of selenium.
Inorganic compounds that contain selenium as an integral part of the molecule.
