Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) is one of the most aggressive malignancies with no effective treatment currently available. The molecular mechanisms of ATC carcinogenesis remain poorly understood. The objective of this study was to investigate the mechanisms and functions of super-enhancer-driven oncogenic transcriptional addiction in the progression of ATC and identify new drug targets for ATC treatments.

Chordoma is a primary bone cancer with no approved therapy. The identification of therapeutic targets in this disease has been challenging due to the infrequent occurrence of clinically actionable som...
As the second most common malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents, Ewing sarcoma is initiated and exacerbated by a chimeric oncoprotein, most commonly, EWS-FLI1. In this study, we apply epige...
It is proposed that the multiple enhancer elements associated with locus control regions and super-enhancers recruit RNA polymerase II and efficiently assemble elongation competent transcription compl...
Super-enhancers are important for controlling and defining the expression of cell-specific genes. With research on human disease and biological processes, human H3K27ac ChIP-seq datasets are accumulat...
Enhancers and super-enhancers exert indispensable roles in maintaining cell identity through spatiotemporally regulating gene transcription. Meanwhile, active enhancers and super-enhancers also produc...

The cardiovascular effects of vitamin D therapy (in humans) have been documented only in patients with known vitamin D deficiency or hyperparathyroidism (a surrogate marker of inadequate v...
A CCAAT-enhancer binding protein that is induced by DNA DAMAGE and growth arrest. It serves as a dominant negative inhibitor of other CCAAT-enhancer binding proteins.
Cis-acting regulatory sequences in the HIV long terminal repeat (LTR) which play a major role in induction or augmentation of HIV gene expression in response to environmental stimuli such as mitogens, phorbol esters, or other viruses. The HIV enhancer is the binding site for many cellular transcription factors including the nuclear factor NF-kappa B.
A signal transducer and activator of transcription that mediates cellular responses to INTERLEUKIN-4. Stat6 has been shown to partner with NF-KAPPA B and CCAAT-ENHANCER-BINDING PROTEINS to regulate GENETIC TRANSCRIPTION of interleukin-4 responsive GENES.
Trans-acting transcription factors produced by retroviruses such as HIV. They are nuclear proteins whose expression is required for viral replication. The tat protein stimulates LONG TERMINAL REPEAT-driven RNA synthesis for both viral regulatory and viral structural proteins. tat stands for trans-activation of transcription.
Cis-acting DNA sequences which can increase transcription of genes. Enhancers can usually function in either orientation and at various distances from a promoter.
