Ni-catalyzed Reductive Deaminative Arylation at sp Carbon Centers.

Summary of "Ni-catalyzed Reductive Deaminative Arylation at sp Carbon Centers."

A Ni-catalyzed reductive deaminative arylation at unactivated sp carbon centers is described. This operationally simple and user-friendly protocol exhibits excellent chemoselectivity profile and broad substrate scope, thus complementing existing metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions to forge sp C-C linkages. These virtues have been assessed in the context of late-stage functionalization, hence providing a strategic advantage to reliably generate structure diversity with amine-containing drugs.

Oxone-Mediated Radical C-C Bond Acetmethylation/Arylation of Methylenecyclopropanes and Vinylcyclopropanes with Alpha Alkyl Ketones: Facile Access to Oxoalkyl-Substituted 3,4-Dihydronaphthalenes.

An efficient oxone-mediated radical carbon-carbon σ-bond acetmethylation/arylation of methylenecyclopropanes with a-C(sp3)-H bonds of ketones is described for the preparation of 2-(2-oxopropyl)-3,4-d...

Ni-Catalyzed Enantioselective Reductive Diarylation of Activated Alkenes by Domino Cyclization/Cross-Coupling.

A Ni-catalyzed enantioselective reductive diarylation of activat-ed alkenes by domino cyclizative/cross-coupling of two aryl bromides is developed. This reaction proceeds under very mild conditions an...

Palladium-Catalyzed Construction of Quaternary Stereocenters by Enantioselective Arylation of γ-Lactams with Aryl Chlorides and Bromides.

Herein, we report the first Pd-catalyzed enantioselective arylation of α-substituted γ-lactams. Two sets of conditions were developed for this transformation, allowing for the use of either aryl chl...

Ruthenium-Catalyzed Reductive Arylation of N-(2-Pyridinyl)amides with Isopropanol and Arylboronate Esters.

A new three-component reductive arylation of amides with stable reactants (iPrOH and arylboronate esters), making use of a 2-pyridinyl (Py) directing group, is described. The N-Py-amide substrates are...

Deaminative Reductive Cross-Electrophile Couplings of Alkylpyridinium Salts and Aryl Bromides.

A nickel-catalyzed reductive cross-coupling of alkylpyridinium salts and aryl bromides has been developed using Mn as the reductant. Both primary and secondary alkylpyridinium salts can be used, and h...

Safety and Tolerability Study of Inhaled Carbon Monoxide in Kidney Transplant Patients

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of two carbon monoxide doses when administered as an inhaled gas for 1 hour in patients receiving kidney transplants.

The Cyclocapnic Method for Measurement of Chemosensitivity

We aim to test our method for measuring chemosensitivity (the ventilatory response to a change in carbon dioxide), which uses sinusoidal carbon dioxide stimuli. Hypotheses: - Ca...

End-Tidal Carbon Dioxide as a Measure of Carboxyhemoglobin in Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

The purpose of this study is to determine whether a relationship exists between EtCO2 and carboxyhemoglobin levels in carbon monoxide exposure. Our hypothesis is that a liner relationship ...

Changes in 13CO2/12CO2 Delta Value in Exhaled Breath as an Early Indicator of Infection in Adult Trauma Subjects

Carbon-12 and carbon-13 are naturally-abundant isotopes in exhaled breath carbon dioxide. The ratio of carbon-13 to carbon-12 in exhaled breath is known as the breath delta value. This stu...

Safety and Efficacy Study of Inhaled Carbon Monoxide to Treat Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS)

This study will be a multi-center, prospective, randomized, partially double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial of inhaled CO (iCO) for the treatment of ARDS. The trial will...
