We have generated MLi002-A, a new induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line derived from keratinocytes of a skin punch biopsy of a female patient with the severe epidermolysis bullosa simplex Dowling-Meara phenotype and the keratin K5 E475G mutation. Keratinocytes were reprogrammed using non-integrating Sendai virus vectors, and xeno-free culture conditions were used throughout. The characterization of MLi002-A cell line consisted of molecular karyotyping, mutation screening using restriction enzyme digestion and Sanger sequencing, and testing of the pluripotency and differentiation potentials by immunofluorescence of associated markers both in vitro and in vivo. This is the first iPSC model of EB Simplex.

We generated a human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line from the skin fibroblasts of a 62-year-old female patient clinically diagnosed with sporadic Parkinson's disease (PD). The generated iPSC...
Mucopolysaccharidosis type III B (MPS IIIB) is a lysosomal storage disorder caused by mutations in the NAGLU gene encoding N-acetylglucosaminidase. Here, we report the generation of a human induced pl...
We report the generation of the human iPSC line LEIi007-A from a patient with autosomal recessive Stargardt disease caused by compound heterozygous mutations in the ABCA4 gene (c.[5461-10 T > C]...

A human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line was generated from a female patient affected by autosomal recessive retinitis pigmentosa with two mutations in the USH2A gene: c.2209C > T (p.Arg7...
Objectives 1. Establish an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) bank for phenotypically well-characterized patients with NF1. 2. Develop isogenic NF1 wild-type (NF1+/+), NF1 heterozygous ...
Recent advances have shown that cells from human blood, skin and urine samples can be reprogrammed to become stem cells. These are called induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) and share m...
In order to study the transplantation effect of hematopoetic stem cells from beta-thalassemia induced pluripotent stem cells. We applied clinical grade source of autologous hematopoietic s...
Creation of a large repository of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), bio-fluid samples (blood and spinal fluid (optional)), and cell lines for ALS gene identification. This will be com...
This study proposes to carefully examine the hypothesis that human inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) can be effectively employed as a future therapeutic option for individuals with ...
The malignant stem cells of TERATOCARCINOMAS, which resemble pluripotent stem cells of the BLASTOCYST INNER CELL MASS. The EC cells can be grown in vitro, and experimentally induced to differentiate. They are used as a model system for studying early embryonic cell differentiation.
Cells from adult organisms that have been reprogrammed into a pluripotential state similar to that of EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS.
Methods of implanting a CELL NUCLEUS from a donor cell into an enucleated acceptor cell. Often the nucleus of a somatic cell is transferred into a recipient OVUM or stem cell (STEM CELLS) with the nucleus removed. This technology may provide means to generate autologous diploid pluripotent cell for therapeutic cloning, and a model for studying NUCLEAR REPROGRAMMING in embryonic stem cells. Nuclear transfer was first accomplished with frog eggs (RANA PIPIENS) and reported in 1952.
Procedures used for the induction of CELLULAR REPROGRAMMING to change the terminal phenotype of a cell, such as the generation of INDUCED PLURIPOTENT STEM CELLS from differentiated adult cells by the forced expression of specific genes.
Form of epidermolysis bullosa characterized by trauma-induced, subepidermal blistering with no family history of the disease. Direct immunofluorescence shows IMMUNOGLOBULIN G deposited at the dermo-epidermal junction.
