Tungiasis is a parasitic skin disease caused by penetrating female sand fleas. By nature, tungiasis is a self-limiting infection. However, in endemic settings re-infection is the rule and parasite loa...
Tungiasis is a parasitic disease caused by the sand flea Tunga penetrans also known as jigger flea. Communities living in precarious conditions in tropical and sub tropical countries bear the brunt of...
This study will investigate in-office ultrasound localization vs localization in radiology for identification and removal of non palpable etonogestrel (ENG) contraceptive implants and aims...
The overall, broad objective of this study is to pilot the BSD technique. The specific purpose of this particular study is to generate pilot data to validate several crucial steps of the B...
Reduced ambulatory activity has been shown to effect the response to a high fat tolerance test (HFTT) after acute exercise. This study will evaluate the effect of varying levels of daily a...
This pilot study has a sequential design involving three groups to ensure appropriate development and evaluation of the optimal procedural steps of the D-UAO device and to confirm that th...
To validate the following theory: "With TRUVIEW ART™ applied a detector's quantitative performance index, MTF(Modulation Transfer Function), is increased 20% or more". This is to examine...
A method of delineating blood vessels by subtracting a tissue background image from an image of tissue plus intravascular contrast material that attenuates the X-ray photons. The background image is determined from a digitized image taken a few moments before injection of the contrast material. The resulting angiogram is a high-contrast image of the vessel. This subtraction technique allows extraction of a high-intensity signal from the superimposed background information. The image is thus the result of the differential absorption of X-rays by different tissues.
The production of an image obtained by cameras that detect the radioactive emissions of an injected radionuclide as it has distributed differentially throughout tissues in the body. The image obtained from a moving detector is called a scan, while the image obtained from a stationary camera device is called a scintiphotograph.
A visual image which is recalled in accurate detail. It is a sort of projection of an image on a mental screen.
An infestation with the flea TUNGA PENETRANS causing inflammation, pruritus, and pain, in both humans and other mammals. There is a high incidence of secondary infections such as BACTEREMIA and TETANUS.
X-ray image-detecting devices that make a focused image of body structures lying in a predetermined plane from which more complex images are computed.
