Summary of "Phenotypic and Genotypic characterization of ESBLs, AmpC and Carbapenemase-Producing Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli Isolates."

Drug resistance among gram-negative bacteria is a worldwide challenge. Due to the importance of drug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli strains in hospital-acquired infections, we aimed to determine the phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of ESBLs, AmpC and Carbapenemase-producing isolates, obtained from hospitalized patients in Tehran and Ilam, Iran.

Our aim was to determine the epidemiology of bloodstream infections (BSIs) by carbapenemase-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae (CP-Kp) after the introduction of ceftazidime/avibactam in January 2018 amon...

Bacteremia caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase (KPC)-producing K. pneumoniae. A retrospective study of 7 years.

Bacteremia caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase-producing strains (Kp-KPC) is associated with high mortality. The hypothesis of our work is that there was an increase in the levels of resista...

Detection of carbapenemases, AmpC and ESBL genes in Acinetobacter isolates from ICUs by DNA microarray.

The accumulation of multiple inherent and acquired resistance mechanisms in Acinetobacter spp. results in emergence of "pandrug resistant" strains which is one of the major concerns in healthcare sect...
