Summary of "Endostar regulates EMT, migration and invasion of lung cancer cells through the HGF-Met pathway."

Though Endostar (ES) could inhibit tumor growth by inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, other possible mechanisms have been less reported. This study aims to investigate the role of ES in the treatment of lung cancer from the perspective of macrophage-mediated epithelial mesenchymal transformation (EMT).

Pigment epithelium-derived factor inhibits lung cancer migration and invasion by upregulating exosomal thrombospondin 1.

Exosomes are implicated in cancer cell development, migration and invasion. Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) is a secreted anticancer protein that can regulate lung cancer progression; however...

Rho GTPase Activating Protein 24 (ARHGAP24) Silencing Promotes Lung Cancer Cell Migration and Invasion by Activating β-Catenin Signaling.

BACKGROUND Rho GTPase activating protein (RhoGAPs) is an important negative regulator of the Rho signaling pathway that is involved in tumorigenesis in liver, colon, and renal cancer. However, the mec...

Let-7 inhibits the migration and invasion of extravillous trophoblast cell via targeting MDM4.

Extravillous trophoblast (EVT) cells migration and invasion are important causes to preeclampsia (PE). Studies have shown that let-7 was involved in inhibiting proliferation and invasion of several ca...

Role of phospholipase D in migration and invasion induced by linoleic acid in breast cancer cells.

Linoleic acid (LA) is an essential and omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid that mediates a variety of biological processes, including migration and invasion in breast cancer cells. Phospholipase D (PLD...

Long non-coding RNA UCA1 regulates the proliferation, migration and invasion of human lung cancer cells by modulating the expression of microRNA-143.

Accounting for 25% of all the cancers and 20% of the cancer-related mortality, lung cancer is one of the devastating types of cancers. Due to an increase in the incidence of lung cancer and limited tr...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

A member of the S100 PROTEIN FAMILY that regulates INFLAMMATION and the immune response. It recruits LEUKOCYTES, promotes cytokine and chemokine production, and regulates leukocyte adhesion and migration. S100A12 can also function via binding to ADVANCED GLYCOSYLATION END PRODUCT-SPECIFIC RECEPTORS, to stimulate innate immune cells.

Specific assays that measure the migration of cells. They are commonly used to measure the migration of immune cells in response to stimuli and the inhibition of immune cell migration by immunosuppressive factors.

An SHC-signaling adaptor protein that transduces PHOSPHOTYROSINE-dependent signals downstream of RECEPTOR PROTEIN-TYROSINE KINASES and non-receptor tyrosine kinases. It is required for TGF-BETA-induced CELL MIGRATION; NEOLPASM INVASION; and METASTASIS of BREAST NEOPLASMS; its SH2 DOMAIN is essential for tumor survival. It also functions in signaling downstream of ANGIOPOIETIN RECEPTOR TIE-2, regulating the migration of ENDOTHELIAL CELLS; and PHYSIOLOGIC NEOVASCULARIZATION.

A form of highly malignant lung cancer that is composed of small ovoid cells (SMALL CELL CARCINOMA).
