### Summary of "Topological phases of higher Chern numbers in Kitaev-Heisenberg ferromagnet with further-neighbor interactions."

Emergence of multiple topological phases with a series of Chern numbers, $\pm 1$, $\mp 1$, $\pm 2$, $\mp 2$, $\pm 3$ and $\mp 4$, is found in a ferromagnetic Kitaev-Heisenberg-spin-anisotropic model on honeycomb lattice with further neighbor interactions in the presence of an external magnetic field. Magnon Chern insulating dispersions of this two-band model are studied by using linear spin-wave theory formulated on the exact ferromagnetic ground state. Magnon edge states are obtained for the respective topological phases along with density of states. A topological phase diagram of this model is presented. Behavior of thermal Hall conductivity for those phases is studied. Sharp jumps of thermal hall conductivity is noted near the vicinity of phase transition points. Topological phases of the Kitaev spin-liquid compounds, $\alpha$-RuCl$_3$, X$_2$IrO$_3$, X = (Na, Li) and CrY$_3$, Y = (Cl, Br, I) are characterized based on this theoretical findings. &#13.

Topological phases and pumps in the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model periodically modulated in time.

By the Floquet theory, we transform the Su-Schrieffer-Heeger model with the periodically modulated nearest-neighbor and next-nearest-neighbor interactions into an effective 2D model, which holds the t...

One Proximate Kitaev Spin Liquid in the K-J-Γ Model on the Honeycomb Lattice.

In addition to the Kitaev (K) interaction, candidate Kitaev materials also possess Heisenberg (J) and off-diagonal symmetric (Γ) couplings. We investigate the quantum (S=1/2) K-J-Γ model on the hone...

Nontrivial topological phases on the stuffed honeycomb lattice.

We report the appearance of nontrivial topological phases in a tight-binding model on the stuffed honeycomb lattice. The model contains nearest neighbor and next nearest neighbor hopping terms coupled...

Microscopic Mechanism for a Higher-Spin Kitaev Model.

The spin S=1/2 Kitaev honeycomb model has attracted significant attention since emerging candidate materials have provided a playground to test non-Abelian anyons. The Kitaev model with higher spins h...

Visualization of Higher-Order Topological Insulating Phases in Two-Dimensional Dielectric Photonic Crystals.

The studies of topological phases of matter have been developed from condensed matter physics to photonic systems, resulting in fascinating designs of robust photonic devices. Recently, higher-order t...

## Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Infections with organisms of the genus BLASTOCYSTIS. The species B. hominis is responsible for most infections. Parasitologic surveys have generally found small numbers of this species in human stools, but higher positivity rates and organism numbers in AIDS patients and other immunosuppressed patients (IMMUNOCOMPROMISED HOST). Symptoms include ABDOMINAL PAIN; DIARRHEA; CONSTIPATION; VOMITING; and FATIGUE.

A numerical system of measuring the rate of BLOOD GLUCOSE generation by a particular food item as compared to a reference item, such as glucose = 100. Foods with higher glycemic index numbers create greater blood sugar swings. These numbers do not correspond to calories or amounts of food intake but rather, depend on the rates of digestion and absorption of these food items.

A family of serine peptidase inhibitors that occur in animals, some single-cell eukaryotes, and higher plants. They contain variable numbers of KAZAL MOTIFS and inhibit SERINE ENDOPEPTIDASES such as ACROSIN and TRYPSIN.

Investigative techniques which measure the topological, geometric, and or geographic properties of the entities studied.

The third stomach of ruminants, situated on the right side of the abdomen at a higher level than the fourth stomach and between this latter and the second stomach, with both of which it communicates. From its inner surface project large numbers of leaves or folia, each of which possesses roughened surfaces. In the center of each folium is a band of muscle fibers which produces a rasping movement of the leaf when it contracts. One leaf rubs against those on either side of it, and large particles of food material are ground down between the rough surfaces, preparatory to further digestion in the succeeding parts of the alimentary canal.
