Summary of "Senescence Evasion in Chemotherapy: A Sweet Spot for p21."

Time-lapse imaging reveals a nuanced role for p21 in cancer cells challenged with chemotherapeutic drugs: cells with either high or low p21 are biased toward senescence, whereas intermediate p21 allows cells to re-enter the cell cycle after drug treatment.

Sweet Orange Fruit Age and Inoculum Concentration Affect the Expression of Citrus Black Spot Symptoms.

Citrus black spot (CBS), caused by Phyllosticta citricarpa, affects different citrus species worldwide. CBS is mainly expressed as false melanose and hard spot symptoms. There is no consensus in the l...

Sweet cherry fruit miRNAs and effect of high CO on the profile associated with ripening.

157 known and 55 novel miRNAs were found in sweet cherry fruit. MiRNA target genes involved in fruit ripening and the differentially expressed miRNAs under CO treatment were identified. MicroRNAs (miR...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Drug treatment designed to further diminish the disease toward complete remission following INDUCTION CHEMOTHERAPY. It helps to consolidate the gains during induction chemotherapy and may be followed by MAINTENANCE CHEMOTHERAPY.

Process by which cells irreversibly stop dividing and enter a state of permanent growth arrest without undergoing CELL DEATH. Senescence can be induced by DNA DAMAGE or other cellular stresses, such as OXIDATIVE STRESS.

Treatment designed to help prevent a relapse of a disease following the successful primary treatments (INDUCTION CHEMOTHERAPY and CONSOLIDATION CHEMOTHERAPY) with a long-term low-dose drug therapy.

Initial drug treatment designed to bring about REMISSION INDUCTION. It is typically a short-term and high-dose drug treatment that is followed by CONSOLIDATION CHEMOTHERAPY and then MAINTENANCE CHEMOTHERAPY.

FEVER accompanied by a significant reduction in NEUTROPHIL count associated with CHEMOTHERAPY.
