Various studies demonstrate that long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) act as oncogenes or tumor suppressors in cancer. However, the function of lncRNAs in bladder cancer still remains largely unknown. In this study, we identified an lncRNA, gastric cancer-associated lncRNA1 (GClnc1), which was in high abundance in bladder cancer tissues and its expression was related to poor survival rates in patients with bladder cancer. and assays showed that GClnc1 significantly promoted cell proliferation, metastasis, and invasiveness in bladder cancer. Mechanistically, we first found that GClnc1 bound to LIN28B and promoted the expression of myelocytomatosis proto-oncogene (MYC) through the LIN28B/let-7a/MYC pathway. In short, GClnc1 is clinically, functionally, and mechanistically oncogenic in bladder cancer. GClnc1 may be a potential target for treating patients with bladder cancer.-Zhuang, C., Ma, Q., Zhuang, C., Ye, J., Zhang, F., Gui, Y. LncRNA GClnc1 promotes proliferation and invasion of bladder cancer through activation of MYC.

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) CASC11 is an oncogenic lncRNA in gastric cancer and colorectal cancer. Our study aimed to investigate the role of lncRNA CASC11 in bladder cancer. In this study we showed...
To study the expression patterns of long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) colon cancer-associated transcript 1 (CCAT1) and the changes in cell proliferation, apoptosis, migration and invasion induced by silenci...
Bladder cancer is one of common malignancies worldwide. lncRNAs and miRs are reported to play crucial roles in bladder cancer. We aimed to reveal the roles and mechanisms of lncRNA PEG10 and miR-134 i...
Growing evidence suggested that the long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) regulate several pathophysiological processes in tumorigenesis and may be new biomarkers for tumor therapy. In this study, we studied ...
FAM83H-AS1, also known as oncogenic long noncoding RNA (lncRNA)-3, is a novel lncRNA that has been suggested to be dysregulated in a variety of human cancers. However, the expression status and functi...
Prostate cancer is the most common male cancer in global, which accounts for 19% of the total and poses great hazards to male health. Unfavorable factors including prostatic specific antig...
This study aims to analyze the expression of micro-RNA (miRNA) and long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) by next-generation sequencing in patients with high grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) and ...
Pancreatic cancer often spreads through local invasion into local structures, including fat, blood vessels, nerves, and nearby organs (stomach, duodenum, spleen, bile duct). Local microsco...
At the cellular and animal level, we found that propranolol can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells. Further, we want to explore the efficacy and safety of propr...

Tumors or cancer of the URINARY BLADDER.
A HERNIA-like condition in which the weakened pelvic muscles cause the URINARY BLADDER to drop from its normal position. Fallen urinary bladder is more common in females with the bladder dropping into the VAGINA and less common in males with the bladder dropping into the SCROTUM.
C-type lectins that restrict growth of bacteria in the intestinal epithelia and have bactericidal activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. They also regulate proliferation and differentiation of KERATINOCYTES following injury. Human pancreatitis-associated protein-1 (Reg3a) is overexpressed by pancreatic ACINAR CELLS in patients with CHRONIC PANCREATITIS. It is also highly expressed by pancreatic, bladder, and gastrointestinal cancer cells and may serve as a diagnostic biomarker.
Involuntary discharge of URINE as a result of physical activities that increase abdominal pressure on the URINARY BLADDER without detrusor contraction or overdistended bladder. The subtypes are classified by the degree of leakage, descent and opening of the bladder neck and URETHRA without bladder contraction, and sphincter deficiency.
Nuclear phosphoprotein encoded by the p53 gene (GENES, P53) whose normal function is to control CELL PROLIFERATION and APOPTOSIS. A mutant or absent p53 protein has been found in LEUKEMIA; OSTEOSARCOMA; LUNG CANCER; and COLORECTAL CANCER.
