Higher cardiovascular risk found in rheumatoid arthritis or psoriatic arthritis is largely due to systemic inflammation. In osteoarthritis (OA), occurrence of systemic inflammation has already been sometimes reported, but the possible association between OA and increased cardiovascular risk remains unclear. In this meta-analysis, we aimed to assess the incidences of myocardial infarction (MI) and stroke, and the cardiovascular risk factors in OA patients.

Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists and cardiovascular outcomes in patients with and without prior cardiovascular events: An updated meta-analysis and subgroup analysis of randomized controlled trials.
To conduct a meta-analysis of cardiovascular outcome trials on the effects of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) on major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE)..
The impact of Parkinson's disease (PD) on the risk of cardiovascular disease is poorly known. We aimed to systematically review observational studies evaluating the association between PD and cardiova...
Occurence of First and Recurrent Major Adverse Cardiovascular Events With Liraglutide Treatment Among Patients With Type 2 Diabetes and High Risk of Cardiovascular Events: A Post Hoc Analysis of a Randomized Clinical Trial.
After the occurrence of nonfatal cardiovascular events, recurrent events are highly likely. Most cardiovascular outcomes trials analyze first events only; extending analyses to first and recurrent (to...
Whether androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is associated with an increased risk of developing cardiovascular related disease is poorly defined. The aim of the present meta-analysis is to explore the r...
Although studies reported increased cardiovascular (CV) risks in patients treated with macrolides, the risks remain controversial among clarithromycin (CLR) users. We aimed to summarize the associatio...

Restoration of functions to the maximum degree possible in a person or persons suffering from a CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE. It also includes cardiac conditioning and SECONDARY PREVENTION in patients with elevated cardiovascular risk profile.
A specialty concerned with the nursing care of patients suffering from disorders of the CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM as well as those identified as at risk for adverse cardiac or vascular events.
Biological actions and events that support the functions of the CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM.
Meta-analysis of randomized trials in which estimates of comparative treatment effects are visualized and interpreted from a network of interventions that may or may not have been evaluated directly against each other. Common considerations in network meta-analysis include conceptual and statistical heterogeneity and incoherence.
