Monitoring of isomeric analytes using mass spectrometry usually requires a time-consuming chromatographic separation of the analytes before analysis. Selected ion flow tube-mass spectrometry (SIFT-MS) can provide rapid direct analysis of ethylbenzene and xylene by utilizing the different reaction chemistry of the isomers. O yields the same product ions from each isomer but in different ratios. OH yields different product ions.

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus 1 (PRRSV1) and PRRSV2 (including 3 major subtypes: classical (CA-PRRSV2), highly pathogenic (HP-PRRSV2), and NADC30-like (NL-PRRSV2)) are currently ...
Two commercial PCR assays were assessed in a retrospective study to determine their reliability as tools for the differentiation of Plasmodium species in human blood.
The chemicals benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) are neuroactive. Exposures often co-occur because they share common sources. We examined neurologic effects of environmental BTEX expos...
A high catalytic system using Cu layered double hydrotalcite (Cu(II)-Mg(II)-Fe(III)LDHs) and hydrogen peroxide (HO) was developed for the degradation of ethylbenzene. It was identified that the degrad...
Herpes simplex virus (HSV) is a common lifelong sexually transmitted infection. HSV-1 typically manifests as oral cold sores, while HSV-2 is more traditionally associated with sexual transmission and ...
Several novel imaging technologies are currently used for detection and differentiation of colonic polyps during colonoscopy, such as NBI (Olympus), FICE (Fujinon), and i-Scan (Pentax). ...
The validity of molecular techniques for the diagnosis of legionellosis is not known. Although PCR can detect Legionella pneumophila (responsible for 80% of legionellosis) and other Legion...
Glaucoma is currently the leading cause of irreversible blindness in the world. The multi-center study is designed to evaluate the efficacy of the convolutional neural network based algori...
The purpose of this study is to determine the clinical efficacy of augmenting cognitive-behavioral therapy with real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging neurofeedback (rtfMRI-nf) tr...
The purpose of this study is to compare the clinical efficacy of real-time ultrasound guidance on spinal anesthesia vs the traditional anatomical landmark technique, by comparing success r...
Ultrasonography applying the Doppler effect combined with real-time imaging. The real-time image is created by rapid movement of the ultrasound beam. A powerful advantage of this technique is the ability to estimate the velocity of flow from the Doppler shift frequency.
Echocardiography applying the Doppler effect, with the superposition of flow information as colors on a gray scale in a real-time image.
Surgical procedures conducted with the aid of computers. This is most frequently used in orthopedic and laparoscopic surgery for implant placement and instrument guidance. Image-guided surgery interactively combines prior CT scans or MRI images with real-time video.
Methods used for detecting the amplified DNA products from the polymerase chain reaction as they accumulate instead of at the end of the reaction.
Significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real gross domestic product, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales. Multiple Sclerosis MS
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological condition affecting 100,000 young adults in the UK. The condition results from autoimmune damage to myelin, causing interference in nerve signaling. Symptoms experienced depend on the pa...
