To compare fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) with imprinted gene detection in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules. A total of 34 patients (35 cases of thyroid nodules) were examined using fine-needle puncture biopsy under ultrasound guidance, and the biopsy tissues were examined by cytologic examination and imprinted gene detection. Combined with postoperative pathology and follow-up results, the diagnostic value and consistency of the two methods were analyzed and compared. The detection of benign and malignant thyroid nodules by ARHI imprinted gene had a high consistency with FNAC, and ARHI imprinted gene detection had a higher detection rate, sensitivity, and accuracy. Imprinted gene detection has high accuracy and sensitivity in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules. It provides a scientific reference for clinical treatment and should be incorporated into diagnostic protocols for thyroid tumor.

Instead of choosing one endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) needle over the other, some advocate the use of fine-needle aspiration (FNA) and fine-needle biopsy (FNB) consecutively. We explored the yield of...
Endoscopic ultrasound-guided liver biopsy (EUS-LB) using a 19-gauge (19-G) EUS needle is becoming increasingly popular. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of a 22-G EUS fine needle biopsy (FNB) n...
Tuberculosis (TB) is an ongoing global health problem. There is still major obstacle in detection of TB despite availability of various diagnostic techniques. The fine needle aspirate cytology (FNAC) ...
There is limited evidence on the diagnostic performance of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle biopsy in patients with subepithelial lesions. Aim of this meta-analysis was to compare EUS-guided f...
The purpose of this study was to compare patients' pain and satisfaction of fine needle aspiration (FNA) and core needle biopsy (CNB) for a thyroid nodule.

Background: Preoperative pathologic diagnosis of subepithelial tumor (SET) can improve clinical decision making. Although EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) is currently considered th...
The aim of this study is to compare the diagnostic accuracy of two EUS-guided tissue acquisition devices; the 19G Echotip Ultra Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) device and the 20G Echotip ProC...
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the quality of the RNA and the reproducibility of gene expression profiling from liver tissue samples obtained by fine needle aspiration.
