In this study, bulk modulus of colloidal crystal formed by highly charged particles is experimentally determined by applying DC electric field. A theoretical expression is also proposed to independently predict the bulk modulus based on van't Hoff's law of osmotic pressure and the theory from Ohshima. The experimental result thus obtained agrees well with the theoretical expectation. In addition, results from both above methods coincide with that inferred from the static structure factor.
