Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for circumferential esophageal cancer inevitably causes a post-ESD stricture. Although oral prednisolone , local triamcinolone injection and balloon dilation (including a self-help inflatable baloon ) can prevent their formation, standardized method has not been established . We report a case in which scope bougienage was effective for a post-ESD stricture in circumferential esophageal cancer.

Circumferential endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) allows to treat large esophageal superficial neoplasms, however with a high occurrence of severe esophageal strictures. In a previous work, we de...
A 67-year-old man who received endoscopic submucosal dissection for an early squamous esophageal cancer was hospitalized for dysphagia. The mucosal defect was over three quarters of the circumference,...
Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for removal of gastrointestinal tumors is a conventional technique; however, ESD has been reported to result in complications such as stricture and delayed bleed...
Although endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is gradually becoming a first-line treatment for superficial esophageal neoplasms (SENs), strictures occur in almost 100% of cases after circumferential...
Recently, postendoscopic submucosal dissection electrocoagulation syndrome (PEECS) has attracted attention. However, the criteria for computed tomography (CT) scanning following esophageal endoscopic ...
The method of esophageal endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) to remove superficial esophageal neoplasms has gained widespread acceptance as an alternative to surgery recently these year...

Control of bleeding performed through the channel of the endoscope. Techniques include use of lasers, heater probes, bipolar electrocoagulation, and local injection. Endoscopic hemostasis is commonly used to treat bleeding esophageal and gastrointestinal varices and ulcers.
A method for removing lesions from gastrointestinal MUCOUS MEMBRANES. The mucosal tissue with the lesion is elevated by injecting a solution into the submucosal layer underneath it. The elevated tissue with the lesion is then cut out.
Fiberoptic endoscopy designed for duodenal observation and cannulation of VATER'S AMPULLA, in order to visualize the pancreatic and biliary duct system by retrograde injection of contrast media. Endoscopic (Vater) papillotomy (SPHINCTEROTOMY, ENDOSCOPIC) may be performed during this procedure.
