Oxidative stress (OS) is known to be an important factor of male infertility. Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs) are known to have immune-modulatory and anti-oxidant effects through their secretions, hence raising the idea of their potential benefit to improve sperm parameters. This study aims at investigating the effect of AD-MSCs conditioned medium (CM) on human sperm parameters in the presence and absence of HO-induced OS.

Sperm DNA integrity is important for fertility, however the incidence of high levels of DNA fragmentation (DNA fragmentation index (DFI) >30%) is not well described. In 2011, our clinics implemented g...
Teratozoospermia is characterised by the presence of spermatozoa with abnormal morphology. One of the morphological disorders that lead to male infertility is immotile short-tail sperm (ISTS) defect. ...
Famotidine, a histamine-2 receptor antagonist, is commonly used to relieve the acid-related gastrointestinal diseases; however, its effect on human sperm parameters, and hence on sperm function, is st...
This retrospective study evaluated the correlation between the sperm DNA integrity results and infertile male age or sperm motility in 654 infertile men undergoing infertility evaluations from 2013 to...
Intensive research on sperm ion channels has identified members of several ion channel families in both mouse and human sperm. Gene knock-out studies have unequivocally demonstrated the importance of ...
In human, 2% of couples experimented Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Currently, while etiological investigations were performed, 40 to 50 % of RPL were unexplained. In animals' studies, se...
The purpose of this study will be to investigate if there is a correlation between Vitamin D levels and Sperm DNA Fragmentation. This is a prospective, cohort study. In this study male par...
Double-blind placebo-controlled randomized trial of daily escitalopram for 6 weeks in healthy men with normal semen analyses and no psychiatric history of depression, bipolar, mania or sui...
Increased sperm DNA Fragmentation Index implies decreased male fertility in vivo and in vitro. There is need for developing new strategies for improvement of male fertility. The study aims...
On the day of ICSI, choosing the best sperm by either PICSI or magnetic activated cell sorting (MACS) in cases with abnormal DNA is not fully investigated. This study helps in solving this...
The quality of SEMEN, an indicator of male fertility, can be determined by semen volume, pH, sperm concentration (SPERM COUNT), total sperm number, sperm viability, sperm vigor (SPERM MOTILITY), normal sperm morphology, ACROSOME integrity, and the concentration of WHITE BLOOD CELLS.
An assisted fertilization technique consisting of the microinjection of a single viable sperm into an extracted ovum. It is used principally to overcome low sperm count, low sperm motility, inability of sperm to penetrate the egg, or other conditions related to male infertility (INFERTILITY, MALE).
Interactive processes between the oocyte (OVUM) and the sperm (SPERMATOZOA) including sperm adhesion, ACROSOME REACTION, sperm penetration of the ZONA PELLUCIDA, and events leading to FERTILIZATION.
The mechanism in a given species, by which the SEX of an individual is fixed. In many species, sex is established at FERTILIZATION by the SPERM that fertilizes the EGG. In human, the Y CHROMOSOME bearing sperm determine production of the male ZYGOTE.
Splitting the DNA into shorter pieces by endonucleolytic DNA CLEAVAGE at multiple sites. It includes the internucleosomal DNA fragmentation, which along with chromatin condensation, are considered to be the hallmarks of APOPTOSIS.
Bioinformatics is the application of computer software and hardware to the management of biological data to create useful information. Computers are used to gather, store, analyze and integrate biological and genetic information which can then be applied...

Stress is caused by your perception of situations around you and then the reaction of your body to them. The automatic stress response to unexpected events is known as 'fight or flight'. Discovered by Walter Cannon in 1932, it is the release of h...
