Facilitated transport membrane for separating light olefins, using transition metals like silver and copper as carriers, is promising to replace those traditional energy-consumption methods. Here, we construct ionic liquid filled the nanoslits of laminated graphene oxide membrane with silver ions as carrier to separate ethylene/ethane. The nanoslits of graphene oxide membrane efficiently prevents the loss of silver ions ionic liquid solution. The ionic liquid further slows down the reduction of silver ions. The membrane with silver concentration of 0.25 M shows the best performance with selectivity of 54 for ethylene/ethane and ethylene permeance of 2.9 GPU. This performance is superior to other silver ions ionic liquid solution membranes and competitive in the reported facilitated transport membranes.

A free radical gas produced endogenously by a variety of mammalian cells, synthesized from ARGININE by NITRIC OXIDE SYNTHASE. Nitric oxide is one of the ENDOTHELIUM-DEPENDENT RELAXING FACTORS released by the vascular endothelium and mediates VASODILATION. It also inhibits platelet aggregation, induces disaggregation of aggregated platelets, and inhibits platelet adhesion to the vascular endothelium. Nitric oxide activates cytosolic GUANYLATE CYCLASE and thus elevates intracellular levels of CYCLIC GMP.
