A new material that combines the self-propelling properties of camphor with the malleability of camphene is reported. It has wax-like mechanical properties at room temperature and can be formed into required shapes. The speed of the self-propelled objects and the trajectory depend on the shape and camphor-camphene weight ratio.

In this study, a protocol for using reactive inkjet printing to fabricate enzymatically propelled silk swimmers with well-defined shapes is reported. The resulting devices are an example of self-prope...
Self-propelled iron-exchanged zeolite (Fe-zeolite) micromotors have been developed for efficient degradation of organic pollutants via Fenton-like reaction. The incorporation of iron ions into the zeo...
A fixed combination of hawthorn and camphor (Korodin Herz-Kreislauf-Tropfen) has been used in the therapy of hypotension for decades. Although its efficacy was evaluated in clinical trials, these stud...
Distinguishing animate from inanimate objects is fundamental for social perception in humans and animals. Visual motion cues indicative of self-propelled object motion are useful for animacy perceptio...
We reported on the fabrication of a multicolor fluorescent sensor for Zn2+ ions based on the Eu complex functionalized mesoporous hybrid material Eu(TTA-MSN)2L (TTA: 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone, HL: 4'-...
Power assisted wheelchairs have specific advantages compared to manual propelled or powered Wheelchair. Autonomad Mobility has developed a new device (DUO), the assistance being triggered ...
Comparative Efficacy of the Suppository Composed by Guaiacol, Eucalyptol, Menthol and Camphor Versus Guaiacol Suppository Versus Guaifenesin Syrup in Pediatric Patients With Cough Due the Infectious Origin
It is believed that the suppository consisting of guaiacol, menthol, camphor and eucalyptol, by their pharmacological properties already established for each component, has the ability to ...
Clinical performance of bioactive restorative material versus glass hybrid restorative in posterior restorations of high caries risk patients will be evaluated over 12 months using Fédér...
Our main hypothesis is that self-propelled Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrojejunostomy tube (PEG-J) that has a balloon on it's tip is associated with lower J-tube retrograde migration rate, ...
This is a double blinded, split mouth, randomized clinical study that evaluated the performance of a glass hybrid restorative material in non-carious servical lesions in patients with brux...
A soluble cytochrome P-450 enzyme that catalyzes camphor monooxygenation in the presence of putidaredoxin, putidaredoxin reductase, and molecular oxygen. This enzyme, encoded by the CAMC gene also known as CYP101, has been crystallized from bacteria and the structure is well defined. Under anaerobic conditions, this enzyme reduces the polyhalogenated compounds bound at the camphor-binding site.
Screening techniques first developed in yeast to identify genes encoding interacting proteins. Variations are used to evaluate interplay between proteins and other molecules. Two-hybrid techniques refer to analysis for protein-protein interactions, one-hybrid for DNA-protein interactions, three-hybrid interactions for RNA-protein interactions or ligand-based interactions. Reverse n-hybrid techniques refer to analysis for mutations or other small molecules that dissociate known interactions.
Studies determining the effectiveness or value of processes, personnel, and equipment, or the material on conducting such studies. For drugs and devices, CLINICAL TRIALS AS TOPIC; DRUG EVALUATION; and DRUG EVALUATION, PRECLINICAL are available.
Large vessels propelled by power or sail used for transportation on rivers, seas, oceans, or other navigable waters. Boats are smaller vessels propelled by oars, paddles, sail, or power; they may or may not have a deck.
Studies designed to examine associations, commonly, hypothesized causal relations. They are usually concerned with identifying or measuring the effects of risk factors or exposures. The common types of analytic study are CASE-CONTROL STUDIES; COHORT STUDIES; and CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDIES.
