We report the production of fullerene microtubes (FMTs), having solid cores bisecting their tubular cavities, from solutions of mixtures of fullerene C and C, and have demonstrated the structural transformation of FMTs to fullerene microhorns (FMHs) upon their exposure to alcohol/mesitylene mixtures at 25 ºC. The conically shaped microhorns have hollow interiors and exhibit preferential recognition of silica particles over fullerene C, polystyrene (PS) latex, PS hydroxylate or PS carboxylate particles of similar dimensions due to strong electrostatic interactions between negatively charged FMHs and positively charged silica particles.

A fluorescent fullerene nanoparticle (NP)-based lateral flow immunochromatographic assay (LFIA) was developed for the rapid and quantitative detection of C-reactive protein (CRP) in serum. The polyclo...
We report the use of a tetraborylated perylenediimide as starting material for the preparation of a tetracorannulene-perylenediimide that is able to bind up to two fullerene-C molecules by host-guest ...
Structural rearrangements govern the various properties of disordered systems and visualization of these dynamical processes can provide critical information on structural deformation and phase transf...
The photoluminescence of lanthanide ions inside fullerenes is usually very weak due to the quenching effect of the fullerene cage. In the case of Er@C, the near-infrared emission from the Er ion is co...
Fullerenes are carbon nanomaterials that have awaken a strong interest due to their adsorption properties and potential applications in many fields. However, there are some gaps of information about t...
Corroboratory behavioral evidence showed interaction effects between vestibular stimulation and egocentric transformation. The investigators here examine in healthy participants, whether ...
This study is a multicenter, open-label, uncontrolled, phase II trial aimed to establish the safety and tolerability of venetoclax, atezolizumab and obinutuzumab combination in Richter Tra...
This study was aimed at patients with newly diagnosed stroke / TIA associated with nonvalvular atrial fibrillation. We will observe the effect of early using rivaroxaban anticoagulation on...
This study examines the potential effect of reducing nicotine content or menthol or both in men. It will also examine whether there are gender differences in manipulating tobacco flavors a...
This project aimed to optimize the therapeutic strategy for structural heart disease by choosing optimal treatment, such as,surgical treatment, interventional and surgery combined with inte...
The uptake of naked or purified DNA by CELLS, usually meaning the process as it occurs in eukaryotic cells. It is analogous to bacterial transformation (TRANSFORMATION, BACTERIAL) and both are routinely employed in GENE TRANSFER TECHNIQUES.
A specialized field of physics and engineering involved in studying the behavior and properties of light and the technology of analyzing, generating, transmitting, and manipulating ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION in the visible, infrared, and ultraviolet range.
Computer systems capable of assembling, storing, manipulating, and displaying geographically referenced information, i.e. data identified according to their locations.
Polyomavirus antigens which cause infection and cellular transformation. The large T antigen is necessary for the initiation of viral DNA synthesis, repression of transcription of the early region and is responsible in conjunction with the middle T antigen for the transformation of primary cells. Small T antigen is necessary for the completion of the productive infection cycle.
Modifying, carrying, or manipulating an item external to itself by an animal, before using it to effect a change on the environment or itself (from Beck, Animal Tool Behavior, 1980).
