ST segment elevation following coronary artery bypass surgery.
ST elevation on ECGs immediately after cardiac surgery is usually considered to be non-specific. However, these ST changes can be the first clues to serious condition such as graft occlusion and myoca...
Readmissions after cardiac surgery are common and associated with increased morbidity, mortality and cost of care. Policymakers have targeted coronary artery bypass grafting to achieve value-oriented ...
Atorvastatin can decrease cardiac injury after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. We compared the effects of 80 and 40 mg of atorvastatin per day on the levels of cardiac troponin T (c...
A 77-year-old man visited our hospital due to bilateral painful inguinal swellings. He had a history of femoral-femoral artery bypass surgery for peripheral artery disease and took ethyl icosapentate....

This study evaluates the safety and effectiveness of the da Vinci Xi Surgical System in Nipple Sparing Mastectomy (NSM) procedures. All of the participants in this study will undergo eithe...
Plasma Gabapentin Concentration During and Following Cardiac Bypass
This open label investigation is to determine whether cardiopulmonary bypass affects plasma gabapentin concentration after preoperative administration in the setting of cardiac bypass surg...
Remote Ischemic Preconditioning After Cardiac Surgery
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a well-recognized complication after cardiac surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). The aim of this study is to reduce the incidence of AKI by implementing...

Coronary Artery Bypass, Off-pump
Coronary artery bypass surgery on a beating HEART without a CARDIOPULMONARY BYPASS (diverting the flow of blood from the heart and lungs through an oxygenator).
Nipple Aspirate Fluid
Fluid collected from nipple by gentle aspiration. The fluid contains cells and extracellular fluid from the breast ductal epithelium.
Breast Carcinoma In Situ

Midazolam
A short-acting hypnotic-sedative drug with anxiolytic and amnestic properties. It is used in dentistry, cardiac surgery, endoscopic procedures, as preanesthetic medication, and as an adjunct to local anesthesia. The short duration and cardiorespiratory stability makes it useful in poor-risk, elderly, and cardiac patients. It is water-soluble at pH less than 4 and lipid-soluble at physiological pH.
Cardiac Surgical Procedures
