Modern population based Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic models have contributed to the advancement of model informed drug development and regulatory decision-making. These models are developed based on principles of 'systems pharmacology', which covers a range of modeling approaches including 'Quantitative Systems Pharmacology'. To integrate pharmacometric and systems pharmacology approaches a profound understanding of the objectives and remits of each technique is required and new definitions, algorithms, model assessment criteria and tools are urgently needed.

Physiology-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling has been extensively used to quantitatively translate in vitro data and evaluate temporal effects from drug-drug interactions (DDIs), arising due to r...
The comparative performances of physiologically-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling and allometric scaling for predicting the pharmacokinetics of large molecules in pediatrics are unknown. Therefor...
In vitro to in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) for next-generation risk assessment (NGRA) of chemicals requires computational modeling and faces unique challenges. Using mitochondria-related toxicity data ...
In 2012, a new journal was launched from the ASCPT family, CPT: Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology (PSP) as both quantitative system pharmacology (QSP) and pharmacometrics were growing fields in...
Saliency refers to the visual perception quality that makes objects in a scene to stand out from others and attract attention. While computational saliency models can simulate the expert's visual atte...
Developmental changes in physiology during childhood influence drug dosing. Failure to account for these changes leads to improper dosing, which is associated with decreased drug efficacy ...
The purpose of this study is to see if providing training using a Sit-to-Stand protocol for residents of Long-Term Care Facilities who have had a stroke will increase their independence in...
The objective of the present study was to compare the ability of acute physiology and chronic health evaluation (APACHE) scoring systems with the combination of an anthropometric variable ...
The objective of this clinical trial is to examine the clinical pharmacology properties of TAK-233 in healthy female subjects
A trial testing the efficacy of sit-stand workstations on decreasing sitting time and increasing light-intensity physical activity in samples of office worksites.
Principles, models, and laws that apply to complex interrelationships and interdependencies of sets of linked components which form a functioning whole, a system. Any system may be composed of components which are systems in their own right (sub-systems), such as several organs within an individual organism.
Comprehensive, methodical analysis of complex biological systems by monitoring responses to perturbations of biological processes. Large scale, computerized collection and analysis of the data are used to develop and test models of biological systems.
Theoretical representations that simulate the behavior or activity of biological processes or diseases. For disease models in living animals, DISEASE MODELS, ANIMAL is available. Biological models include the use of mathematical equations, computers, and other electronic equipment.
Statistical models in which the value of a parameter for a given value of a factor is assumed to be equal to a + bx, where a and b are constants. The models predict a linear regression.
Statistical models of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services, as well as of financial considerations. For the application of statistics to the testing and quantifying of economic theories MODELS, ECONOMETRIC is available.
Pharmacy is the science and technique of preparing as well as dispensing drugs and medicines. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. The scope of...
