Summary of "Metallic alloys at the edge of complexity: structural aspects,chemical bonding and physical properties."

Metallic alloys constitute an important class of solid materials with a tremendously broad range of properties and, consequently, applications. This is based on the circumstance that a large number of structural arrangements can be adopted by intermetallics, often with great structural and compositional complexity. This review intends to give an overview of the structural complexity of this class of compounds, shedding also some light the physical materials properties and chemical bonding.
