To evaluate the relationships between female hormone levels and background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) or apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values of breast parenchyma, as well as the effects of BPE and ADC values on cancer visibility.

We recently showed that prophylactic breast irradiation (PBI) reduces the risk of contralateral breast cancer in BRCA mutation carriers undergoing treatment for early breast cancer. It has been sugges...
In magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), background parenchymal enhancement (BPE) is associated with breast cancer risk, but the associations between BPE and clinical characteristics and histological feat...
The aim of this study was to examine the correlations between the levels of ghrelin and inflammatory and bone metabolism markers in rats with periodontitis.
The effects of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist (GnRHa) on plasma levels of follicle-stimulating hormone (Fsh) and luteinising hormone (Lh) are reported for female greater amberjack Seriola dume...
When females face adverse environmental conditions, physiological changes, such as elevated corticosterone levels, to cope with the stressors may also impact their offspring. Such maternal effects are...
The aim of this retrospective study is to evaluate the value of pre-treatment and post-treatment multimodality MRI study, including quantitative evaluation of background parenchymal enhanc...

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the occurrence of idiopathic right ventricular outflow tract(RVOT) arrhythmia is relative to sex hormone levels in different stages of fe...
An inherited autosomal recessive trait, characterized by peripheral resistance to THYROID HORMONES and the resulting elevation in serum levels of THYROXINE and TRIIODOTHYRONINE. This syndrome is caused by mutations of gene THRB encoding the THYROID HORMONE RECEPTORS BETA in target cells. HYPOTHYROIDISM in these patients is partly overcome by the increased thyroid hormone levels.
A parathyroid hormone receptor subtype that recognizes both PARATHYROID HORMONE and PARATHYROID HORMONE-RELATED PROTEIN. It is a G-protein-coupled receptor that is expressed at high levels in BONE and in KIDNEY.
A glycoprotein that causes regression of MULLERIAN DUCTS. It is produced by SERTOLI CELLS of the TESTES. In the absence of this hormone, the Mullerian ducts develop into structures of the female reproductive tract. In males, defects of this hormone result in persistent Mullerian duct, a form of MALE PSEUDOHERMAPHRODITISM.
A method of delineating blood vessels by subtracting a tissue background image from an image of tissue plus intravascular contrast material that attenuates the X-ray photons. The background image is determined from a digitized image taken a few moments before injection of the contrast material. The resulting angiogram is a high-contrast image of the vessel. This subtraction technique allows extraction of a high-intensity signal from the superimposed background information. The image is thus the result of the differential absorption of X-rays by different tissues.
