Summary of "Projection-based 3D/2D registration for prospective motion correction."

To develop a registration method that is capable of estimating the full range of rigid body motion from three orthogonal collapsed images of the head. These images can be obtained using the collapsed FatNav, a previously introduced navigator for prospective motion correction. It combines a short duration with wide compatibility with different main sequences due to its robustness against spin history effects.

Head Motion Correction Based on Filtered Backprojection in Helical CT Scanning.

Head motion may unexpectedly occur during a CT scan. It thereby results in motion artifacts in a reconstructed image and may lead to a false diagnosis or a failure of diagnosis. To alleviate this moti...

Improved motion correction of submillimetre 7T fMRI time series with boundary-based registration (BBR).

Projection of near-IR light (INFRARED RAYS), in the 700-1000 nm region, across an object in parallel beams to an array of sensitive photodetectors. This is repeated at various angles and a mathematical reconstruction provides three dimensional MEDICAL IMAGING of tissues. Based on the relative transparency of tissues to this spectra, it has been used to monitor local oxygenation, brain and joints.
