From December 2019 to February 2020, 2019 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has caused a serious outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Wuhan, China. Related cli...
In December 2019, an outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China and spread across China and beyond. On February 12, 202...
A novel human coronavirus, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was identified in China in December 2019. There is limited support for many of its key epidemiologic features, ...
The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has recently spread worldwide and been declared a pandemic. We aim ...
This is the first epidemiological report of novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) acute respiratory disease infections reported in Australia at 19:00 Australian Eastern Daylight Time [AEDT] 1 February 2020. I...
The Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), also known as Wuhan coronavirus, causes the 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease.
The Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV), also known as Wuhan coronavirus, causes the 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease. The number of patients infected by 2019-nCoV in Italy closely followed a...
As of February 17th, 2020, China has 76396 confirmed cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), including 2348 deaths. Although the impact factors of clinical outcomes among hospitalize...
The new coronavirus pneumonia is an acute infectious pneumonia. The pathogen is a previously unknown new coronavirus, namely 2019 new coronavirus (2019 novel coronavirus, 2019 nCoV). Howev...

A species of CORONAVIRUS infecting cats of all ages and commonly found in catteries and zoos. Cats are often found carrying the virus but only a small proportion develop disease. Feline coronavirus and Feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) are virtually the same virus in genetic and antigenetic terms, and are morphologically indistinguishable. Since they only differ in their disease potential (with FIPV causing a more serious illness), they are considered biotypes of each other.
Species of the genus INFLUENZAVIRUS B that cause HUMAN INFLUENZA and other diseases primarily in humans. Antigenic variation is less extensive than in type A viruses (INFLUENZA A VIRUS) and consequently there is no basis for distinct subtypes or variants. Epidemics are less likely than with INFLUENZA A VIRUS and there have been no pandemics. Previously only found in humans, Influenza B virus has been isolated from seals which may constitute the animal reservoir from which humans are exposed.
The type species of BETACORONAVIRUS genus causing gastroenteritis respiratory diseases in mammals. Previously separate species HUMAN CORONAVIRUS OC43; BOVINE CORONAVIRUS; Human enteric coronavirus; Equine coronavirus; and Porcine hemagglutinating encephalomyelitis virus merged into this species on the basis of similar genome nucleotide sequence and genome organization.
A genus of the family CORONAVIRIDAE that causes respiratory or gastrointestinal disease in avian species (or birds). The type species, AVIAN CORONAVIRUS, includes the previously separate species TURKEY CORONAVIRUS; and INFECTIOUS BRONCHITIS VIRUS.
Membrane glycoproteins from influenza viruses which are involved in hemagglutination, virus attachment, and envelope fusion. Fourteen distinct subtypes of HA glycoproteins and nine of NA glycoproteins have been identified from INFLUENZA A VIRUS; no subtypes have been identified for Influenza B or Influenza C viruses.
Influenza or 'flu' is a respiratory illness associated with infection by influenza virus. Symptoms frequently include headache, fever, cough, sore throat, aching muscles and joints. There is a wide spectrum of severity of illness ranging from min...
