Standard of care for glioblastoma includes concurrent chemoradiation and maintenance temozolomide with tumor treatment fields (TTFields). Preclinical studies suggest TTFields and radiation treatment have synergistic effects. We report our initial experience evaluating toxicity and tolerability of scalp-sparing radiation with concurrent TTFields.

The standard of care in management of patients with good performance status and unresectable stage III non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) therapy is concurrent chemoradiation. Newer techniques such as...
Nipple sparing mastectomy (NSM) is an alternative to skin sparing mastectomy in appropriately selected patients. The aim of this study was to review our experience with NSM and to evaluate for oncolog...
To explore the use of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) after lung-sparing surgery in malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). Because severe toxicities have been documented following radiotherapy ...
Brain aneurysms (BA) represent the most common intracranial vascular condition, with an overall incidence of 1-2%. Among the described common causes of their initial formation and growth the role of r...
Our group has shown in a modeling study that increasing the radiation dose to pre-specified normal tissue dose constrains could lead to increased TCP with the same NTCP in patients with no...
Hypothesis 1- Using IMRT, the RT dose can be safely escalated from 58 Gy to 74 Gy given as 6 fractions/week with concurrent chemotherapy. Hypothesis 2- Esophageal motion can be used to cu...

Skin diseases involving the SCALP.
A general term describing various dermatophytoses. Specific types include TINEA CAPITIS (ringworm of the scalp), TINEA FAVOSA (of scalp and skin), TINEA PEDIS (athlete's foot), and tinea unguium (see ONYCHOMYCOSIS, ringworm of the nails). (Dorland, 27th ed)
A therapeutic approach, involving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgery, after initial regimens have failed to lead to improvement in a patient's condition. Salvage therapy is most often used for neoplastic diseases.
The ability of some cells or tissues to withstand ionizing radiation without serious injury. Tolerance depends on the species, cell type, and physical and chemical variables, including RADIATION-PROTECTIVE AGENTS and RADIATION-SENSITIZING AGENTS.
First segment of axon that connects distal axon segments to the neuronal CELL BODY at the axon hillock region. The axon initial segment is not protected by the MYELIN SHEATH and has properties critical for axonal growth. The axon initial segment and the axon hillock form an axonal trigger zone.
