Recalcitrant nature is a major constraint for the in vitro regeneration and genetic transformation of leguminous species members. Therefore, an improved genetic transformation in horse gram has been developed via in planta method, in which Agrobacterium strain harboring binary vector pCAMBIA2301 was used for the transformation. Several factors affecting in planta transformations were put forth viz. Agrobacterium cell density, co-cultivation, and sonication combined with vacuum infiltration duration which were optimized.

This is the first report of a highly efficient Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation protocol for Acanthaceae and its utilization in revealing important roles of cytokinin in regulating he...
Modification of the rice genome by Agrobacterium-mediated transformation is a general technique that can be easily performed today. Successful methods were established by vigorous studies on the cultu...
Milkweeds have ecological significance for insect herbivores that rely on them as hosts for either part of or the entirety of their life cycles. Interesting interactions, some of which are not complet...
Using the carboxin resistance gene from Pleurotus eryngii as a selective marker, we introduced foreign DNA into the arthroconidia of Hypsizygus marmoreus through Agrobacterium-mediated transformation....
Many synthetic biologists have adopted methods based on Type IIS restriction enzymes and Golden Gate technology in their cloning procedures, as these enable the combinatorial assembly of modular eleme...
The objectives of this study are to evaluate the effectiveness of escin (as horse chestnut seed extract) for arm lymphedema in women following treatment for breast cancer, to evaluate the ...
Horse-related activity can be risky. Horses are the leading cause of animal-related fatalities in Oregon and Oregon's annual death rate from animals is 45% higher than the national rate. ...
Clinical trial on the physical and psychological effects of Horse Assisted Rehabilitation after the treatment of cancer in children 7 to 14 years of age.
Patients after the Fontan operation at a single institution will be randomized to receive a standardized extract of Aesculus hippocastanum L. (horse chestnut) or placebo for 4 months in a ...
Corroboratory behavioral evidence showed interaction effects between vestibular stimulation and egocentric transformation. The investigators here examine in healthy participants, whether ...
An anti-CTLA-4 ANTIGEN monoclonal antibody initially indicated for the treatment of certain types of metastatic MELANOMA. Its mode of actions may include blocking of CTLA-4 mediated inhibition of CYTOTOXIC T LYMPHOCYTES, allowing for more efficient destruction of target tumor cells.
A genus of gram negative, aerobic, rod-shaped bacteria found in soil, plants, and marine mud.
An experimental animal model for the demyelinating disease of GUILLAINE-BARRE SYNDROME. In the most frequently used protocol, animals are injected with a peripheral nerve tissue protein homogenate. After approximately 2 weeks the animals develop a neuropathy secondary to a T cell-mediated autoimmune response directed towards the MYELIN P2 PROTEIN in peripheral nerves. Pathologic findings include a perivascular accumulation of macrophages and T lymphocytes in the peripheral nervous system, similar to that seen in the Guillaine-Barre syndrome. The uptake of naked or purified DNA by CELLS, usually meaning the process as it occurs in eukaryotic cells. It is analogous to bacterial transformation (TRANSFORMATION, BACTERIAL) and both are routinely employed in GENE TRANSFER TECHNIQUES.
An order of ungulates having an odd number of toes, including the horse, tapir, and rhinoceros. (Dorland, 27th ed)
