Infigratinib (BGJ398) is a potent and selective fibroblast grown factor receptor 1 to 3 (FGFR1-3) inhibitor with significant activity in patients with advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma bearing FGFR3 alterations. Given the distinct biologic characteristics of upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) and urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (UCB), the authors examined whether infigratinib had varying activity in these settings.
This article was published in the following journal.
To assess the prognostic value of sex differences in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) and urothelial carcinoma in bladder (UCB) treated with radical surgery.
E-cadherin has emerged as a prognostic factor of urothelial cell carcinoma. In the present work we investigate the relationship between expression of E-cadherin and clinical outcomes, following radica...
The use of lymph node density (LND) as a predictor of survival outcomes has been studied with urothelial carcinoma of the bladder. Similar results can be postulated to upper tract urothelial carcinoma...
Urothelial carcinomas of the upper urinary tract (UTUCs) are rare, with poorer stage-for-stage prognosis than urothelial carcinomas of the urinary bladder. No international consensus exists on the ben...
The aim of the study was to assess upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) health care needs and specific mortality rates in an arsenic-exposed region in Northern Chile and compare them to those of th...
This phase I/II trial studies the side effects of infigratinib before surgery in treating patients with upper tract urothelial cancer. Infigratinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by bl...
This is a Phase 3 multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study to evaluate the efficacy of giving an oral targeted FGFR1-3 inhibitor, infigratinib, as adjuvant treatment...
This clinical trial is designed to evaluate the efficacy of single immediate intravesical chemotherapy instillation in the prevention of bladder recurrence after diagnostic ureteroscopy fo...
The aim of this study is to explore feasibility of Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma (UTUC) treatments based in real world data in various European countries. The study will allow to gain i...
The study is investigating the ability of UroGen's MitoGel™ procedure to treat urothelial carcinoma tumors from the upper urinary tract. If this treatment will prove to be effective this...
A condition in which abnormal cells have not spread outside the duct, lobule, or nipple to other tissues of the breast. There are 3 types of breast carcinoma in situ: DUCTAL CARCINOMA IN SITU; LOBULAR CARCINOMA IN SITU; and PAGET DISEASE OF THE NIPPLE
A transplantable carcinoma of the rat that originally appeared spontaneously in the mammary gland of a pregnant albino rat, and which now resembles a carcinoma in young transplants and a sarcoma in older transplants. (Stedman, 25th ed)
An adenocarcinoma characterized by the presence of cells resembling the glandular cells of the ENDOMETRIUM. It is a common histological type of ovarian CARCINOMA and ENDOMETRIAL CARCINOMA. There is a high frequency of co-occurrence of this form of adenocarcinoma in both tissues.
Carcinoma characterized by bands or cylinders of hyalinized or mucinous stroma separating or surrounded by nests or cords of small epithelial cells. When the cylinders occur within masses of epithelial cells, they give the tissue a perforated, sievelike, or cribriform appearance. Such tumors occur in the mammary glands, the mucous glands of the upper and lower respiratory tract, and the salivary glands. They are malignant but slow-growing, and tend to spread locally via the nerves. (Dorland, 27th ed)
A heterogeneous aggregate of at least three distinct histological types of lung cancer, including SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA; ADENOCARCINOMA; and LARGE CELL CARCINOMA. They are dealt with collectively because of their shared treatment strategy.
Non-invasive bladder cancer is a cancer that is only in the inner lining of the bladder. Invasive bladder cancer is cancer that has spread into the deeper walls of the bladder. When the cancer has spread outside the bladder to other parts of the body, th...
