Although generally safe, hyaluronic acid rejuvenation of periorbital tissue has been reported to cause minor and major adverse events. The authors document a case of nasolacrimal duct obstruction due to hyaluronic acid rejuvenation of the tear trough. Nasolacrimal duct obstruction immediately resolved following irrigation of hyaluronidase into the affected lacrimal system.
