By analyzing the accumulated network growth, we find that, unlike most other networks, these cryptocurrency networks do n...

Looking for bipolarity in antidepressant discontinuation manic states: Update and diagnostic considerations of the phenomenon.

Antidepressant withdrawal manic states are intriguing and under-recognized phenomena. The associated patho-physiological pathways are ill defined and the inclusion of the phenomena in the bipolar spectrum disorders is questionable. This study aims to update a review on antidepressant discontinuation manic states published in 2008 and to look for hints alluding to bipolar disorder in the affected published cases and in the literature. It also reviews the different hypotheses proposed to explain discontinuati...

3D Shape Matching and Non-rigid Correspondence for Hippocampi Based on Markov Random Fields.

The purpose of this paper is to recover dense correspondence between non-rigid shapes for anatomical objects, which is a key element of disease diagnosis and analysis. We proposed a shape matching framework based on Markov Random Fields (MRFs) to obtain non-rigid correspondence. We constructed an energy function by summing up two terms where one was a unary term and the other was a binary term. By using this formulation, shape matching was represented as an energy function minimisation problem. Loopy Belief...

Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome.

Efforts on recognition, diagnosis and management of the presumed, most common connective tissue disorder, Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos syndrome have been an ongoing challenge, decades after the description of this condition. The recent international consortium proposed a revised Ehlers Danlos syndrome classification, an update much needed since Villefranche nosology, in 1998. Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos is the only subtype in these groups of syndromes with no known genetic cause(s). This effort brought significa...

Implicit incremental natural actor critic algorithm.

Natural policy gradient (NPG) methods are promising approaches to finding locally optimal policy parameters. The NPG approach works well in optimizing complex policies with high-dimensional parameters, and the effectiveness of NPG methods has been demonstrated in many fields. However, the incremental estimation of the NPG is computationally unstable owing to its high sensitivity to the step-sizes values, especially to the one used to update the estimate of NPG. In this study, we propose a new incremental an...

Reinforcement learning for solution updating in Artificial Bee Colony.

In the Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm, the employed bee and the onlooker bee phase involve updating the candidate solutions by changing a value in one dimension, dubbed one-dimension update process. For some problems which the number of dimensions is very high, the one-dimension update process can cause the solution quality and convergence speed drop. This paper proposes a new algorithm, using reinforcement learning for solution updating in ABC algorithm, called R-ABC. After updating a solution by an...

Event-Triggered Adaptive Tracking Control for Multiagent Systems With Unknown Disturbances.

This paper considers the event-triggered tracking control problem of nonlinear multiagent systems with unknown disturbances. The event-triggering mechanism is considered in the controller update, which decreases the amount of communication and reduces the frequency of the controller update in practice. By designing a disturbance observer, the unknown external disturbances are estimated. Moreover, a part of adaptive parameters are only dependent on the number of followers, which weakens the computational bur...

Nonuniformly Sampled Data Processing Using LSTM Networks.

We investigate classification and regression for nonuniformly sampled variable length sequential data and introduce a novel long short-term memory (LSTM) architecture. In particular, we extend the classical LSTM network with additional time gates, which incorporate the time information as a nonlinear scaling factor on the conventional gates. We also provide forward-pass and backward-pass update equations for the proposed LSTM architecture. We show that our approach is superior to the classical LSTM architec...
