In this review, we focus on the methods adopted in the synthesis of asymmetric curcumin derivatives and their biological activities and forecast the future of this exciting class of compounds in the field of medicine.

The aim of this study was isolation, identification and evaluation the antioxidant activities of the associated bacteria of seven algae, Padina pavonica, Dictyota dichotoma, Cystoseira myrica, Halimeda opuntia, Ulva lactuca, Digenea simplex and Jania sp.
