This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover, two-attack, out-patient, early-intervention evaluation of subjects who have migraine with or without aura and who discontinued use of short acting triptan(s) within the past year due to non-response or intolerance. Subjects will treat 2 separate migraine attacks during the mild phase of each attack; one attack will be treated with one tablet of the Combination Product (sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium) and the other attack with one tablet of placebo (crossover design). [Study 1 of 2]
This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover, two-attack, out-patient, early-intervention evaluation of subjects who have migraine with or without aura and who discontinued use of short acting triptan(s) within the past year due to non-response or intolerance. Subjects will treat 2 separate migraine attacks during the mild phase of each attack; one attack will be treated with one tablet of the Combination Product (sumatriptan succinate and naproxen sodium) and the other attack with one tablet of placebo (crossover design); however, the order of these treatments will be randomized. A minimum 1-week washout period is required between study medication treatment of the first and second migraine attacks.
Each subject will have two visits: (1) a Screening visit at study entry and (2) a Final visit 4-10 days after the second (or last) attack. A telephone contact will also be required 1-3 days after the first attack, and then once per month until the Final visit.
The primary study objective is to assess efficacy as measured by sustained pain-free (SPF) relief of Combination Product compared to placebo in treating migraine subjects who have previously discontinued treatment with short acting triptans (rizatriptan, sumatriptan, almotriptan, zolmitriptan, and eletriptan).
Allocation: Randomized, Endpoint Classification: Efficacy Study, Intervention Model: Crossover Assignment, Masking: Double Blind (Subject, Investigator), Primary Purpose: Treatment

The purpose of this study is to determine the consistency of response for Treximet (sumatriptan/naproxen sodium), formerly known as Trexima, when treating four acute migraine attacks at th...
An evaluation of tablet disintegration and absorption and gastric transit of sumatriptan and naproxen sodium from a TREXIMA tablet and eletriptan from a RELPAX 40mg tablet.
This study was designed to determine long-term safety of TREXIMA compared to placebo for the treatment of acute migraine.
This study was designed to determine how well the combination medication, sumatriptan and naproxen sodium, treats migraine headache in adolescents 12-17 years old
Sumatriptan (Imigran) is a potent and highly selective 5-HTreceptor agonist often used in treating acute migraine. Intranasal sumatriptan is well absorbed and is generally effective in relieving heada...
Previous studies indicate that sumatriptan is not effective when second messenger levels are high as after cilostazol provocation. Therefore, we have conducted the present study, where sumatriptan is ...
Sumatriptan, a 5HT (5-hydroxytryptamine) receptor agonist, showed neuroprotection in different studies. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of sumatriptan on morphine-induced a...
To evaluate the prophylactic effects of atorvastatin on frequency, intensity, and duration of migraine attacks compared with sodium valproate.
Chronic migraines (CM) are the third most common disease and are refractory to medical treatment in 15% of patients. Currently, temporary relief is achieved with steroid blocks or pulsed radiofrequenc...
A serotonin agonist that acts selectively at 5HT1 receptors. It is used in the treatment of MIGRAINE DISORDERS.
Enzymes that catalyze the first step leading to the oxidation of succinic acid by the reversible formation of succinyl-CoA from succinate and CoA with the concomitant cleavage of ATP to ADP (EC 188.8.131.52) or GTP to GDP (EC 184.108.40.206) and orthophosphate. Itaconate can act instead of succinate and ITP instead of GTP.EC 6.2.1.-.
An anti-inflammatory agent with analgesic and antipyretic properties. Both the acid and its sodium salt are used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic or musculoskeletal disorders, dysmenorrhea, and acute gout.

A voltage-gated sodium channel subtype that is predominantly expressed in the CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM. Defects in the SCN1A gene which codes for the alpha subunit of this sodium channel are associated with DRAVET SYNDROME, generalized epilepsy with febrile seizures plus, type 2 (GEFS+2), and familial hemiplegic migraine type 3.
