Half Dose of Prasugrel and Ticagrelor in Acute Coronary Syndrome (HOPE-TAILOR)

East Asian patients will be required optimal dose of newer P2Y12 inhibitors (prasugrel or ticagrelor) to determine the safer treatment and better outcome. Whether lower dose of these regim...

Comparison of Ticagrelor vs. Prasugrel on Inflammation, Arterial Stiffness, Endothelial Function, and Circulating Endothelial Progenitor Cells in Diabetic Patients With Non-ST Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome (NSTE-ACS) Requiring Coronary Stenting

To investigate pleiotropic effects of ticagrelor in addition to its antiplatelet effects in type 2 diabetic patients with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome by measuring inflammatory...

Antiplatelet Therapy in Acute Coronary Syndrome(ACS). Safety and Efficacy of Crossing Antiplatelet

This study aims to describe antiplatelet therapy in ACS in Andalusia and make an assessment of efficacy and safety of hospital use Prasugrel / ticagrelor vs. Clopidogrel and Prasugrel swit...

Ticagrelor vs. Prasugrel Effects on Infarct Size

This study has been designed as a randomized, double-blind trial to provide definitive evidence on the effects of ticagrelor and prasugrel on myocardial salvage in patients with anterior S...

Prasugrel Switching Study in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) Who Underwent Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

This Phase IV, multicenter trial is designed to assess the efficacy of prasugrel in preventing the formation of blood clots in Taiwanese patients with ACS who have been treated with PCI.

Risk of cancer after an acute coronary syndrome according to the type of P2Y12 inhibitor.

There are conflicting clinical and laboratory data about the effect of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) on cancer incidence, including analysis suggesting an increased cancer risk. This study aims to ...

Meta-Analysis of Potent P2Y12-ADP Receptor Antagonist Therapy Compared to Clopidogrel Therapy in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease.

The clinical benefit of anti-platelet agents in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) is uncertain. In addition, the risk-benefit ratio of potent oral P2Y12-adenosine diphosphate (ADP) recepto...

Genotype-Phenotype Association and Impact on Outcomes following Guided De-Escalation of Anti-Platelet Treatment in Acute Coronary Syndrome Patients: The TROPICAL-ACS Genotyping Substudy.

Phenotype-guided de-escalation (PGDE) of P2Y-inhibitor treatment with an early switch from prasugrel to clopidogrel was identified as an effective alternative treatment strategy in acute coronary s...

Ticagrelor-induced thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura: A case report and review of the literature.

Ticagrelor, a new type of P2Y12 receptor antagonist, has been highly recommended to be used in acute coronary syndrome by the latest guideline, but its side effects are not well-known. We seek to illu...

Effects of switching ticagrelor to clopidogrel on cardiovascular outcomes in patients with acute coronary syndrome: Erratum.

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

A piperazine derivative and PLATELET AGGREGATION INHIBITOR that is used to prevent THROMBOSIS in patients with ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROME; UNSTABLE ANGINA and MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION, as well as in those undergoing PERCUTANEOUS CORONARY INTERVENTIONS.

Abnormal balloon- or sac-like dilatation in the wall of CORONARY VESSELS. Most coronary aneurysms are due to CORONARY ATHEROSCLEROSIS, and the rest are due to inflammatory diseases, such as KAWASAKI DISEASE.

An episode of MYOCARDIAL ISCHEMIA that generally lasts longer than a transient anginal episode but that does not usually result in MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION.

A congenital coronary vessel anomaly in which the left main CORONARY ARTERY originates from the PULMONARY ARTERY instead of from AORTA. The congenital heart defect typically results in coronary artery FISTULA; LEFT-SIDED HEART FAILURE and MITRAL VALVE INSUFFICIENCY during the first months of life.

Malformations of CORONARY VESSELS, either arteries or veins. Included are anomalous origins of coronary arteries; ARTERIOVENOUS FISTULA; CORONARY ANEURYSM; MYOCARDIAL BRIDGING; and others.
