AlloGen-LI Treatment of Spinal Stenosis

In this pilot study, investigators will test the efficacy of AlloGen-LI, an allograft derived from amniotic fluid, injected into the epidural space at the level of spinal stenosis as an an...

A Pivotal Study of a Facet Replacement System to Treat Spinal Stenosis

The purpose of this study is to determine if the ACADIA™ Facet Replacement System is effective in the treatment of spinal stenosis. The primary objective of the study is to evaluate the ...

Spinal Infection Management With Structural Allograft

Background. Bone infections can involve the vertebral column, intervertebral disc space, spinal canal and soft tissues, can generate neurological deficit in addition to the destruction of ...

Treatment of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis; Comparison of Two Different Surgical Methods; Mini-invasive Decompression to X-stop

The purpose of this study is to compare two operation methods on lumbar spinal stenosis; minimal invasive decompression to X-stop. It is a prospective randomized multicenter study includin...

Evaluation of Spinal Mobility Reeducation in Patients Treated for a Lumbar Spinal Stenosis After Epidural Infiltration

In actual practice the patients with mild or moderate lumbar spinal stenosis symptoms receive an epidural infiltration and participate in kyphosis reeducation in first intention. Yet the k...

Tandem Spinal Stenosis: A Systematic Review.

Tandem spinal stenosis refers to spinal canal diameter narrowing in at least 2 distinct regions of the spine, most commonly the lumbar and cervical regions. This entity can be an asymptomatic radiogra...

Transforaminal endoscopic decompression for thoracic spinal stenosis under local anesthesia.

Thoracic spinal stenosis is a common vertebral degenerative disease, and treatment remains challenging. In recent years, transforaminal endoscopic decompression has been widely used for treating lumba...

Congenital Cervical Spine Stenosis in a Multicenter Global Cohort of Patients With Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy: An Ambispective Report Based on a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Diagnostic Criterion.

Congenital spinal stenosis (CSS) of the cervical spine is a risk factor for acute spinal cord injury and development of degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM).

Diagnosis of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis with Functional Myelography.

The diagnosis of a lumbar spinal stenosis demands advanced diagnostic radiologic techniques. In recent decades magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) has replaced myelography, now considered an old-fashi...

Effect of Interlaminar Epidural Steroid Injection in Patients with Central Cervical Spinal Stenosis.

The authors investigated the effect of interlaminar ESI for the management of central cervical spinal stenosis-induced posterior neck pain.

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Narrowing of the spinal canal.

A pathological constriction that can occur above (supravalvular stenosis), below (subvalvular stenosis), or at the AORTIC VALVE. It is characterized by restricted outflow from the LEFT VENTRICLE into the AORTA.

The ratio of maximum blood flow to the MYOCARDIUM with CORONARY STENOSIS present, to the maximum equivalent blood flow without stenosis. The measurement is commonly used to verify borderline stenosis of CORONARY ARTERIES.

The 31 paired peripheral nerves formed by the union of the dorsal and ventral spinal roots from each spinal cord segment. The spinal nerve plexuses and the spinal roots are also included.

Reduced blood flow to the spinal cord which is supplied by the anterior spinal artery and the paired posterior spinal arteries. This condition may be associated with ARTERIOSCLEROSIS, trauma, emboli, diseases of the aorta, and other disorders. Prolonged ischemia may lead to INFARCTION of spinal cord tissue.
