Tomosynthesis is an innovative technique developed in digital mammography for obtaining a sectional image of the breast. Mammography has the main disadvantage of being an imaging projection that creates overlays, which eliminates tomosynthesis.
The objective of this study is to evaluate if the BI-RADS classification obtained by tomosynthesis with synthetic mammography is superior to that obtained by conventional mammography in terms of specificity while not inferior in terms of sensitivity.

This randomized phase III trial studies digital tomosynthesis mammography and digital mammography in screening patients for breast cancer. Screening for breast cancer with tomosynthesis ma...
The study aims at evaluating the introduction of tomosynthesis in mammography screening, analyzing the benefits, disadvantages and feasibility in current clinical practice. It involves wo...
The aim of the study is to compare early performance measures and economic aspects of organized breast cancer screening for women screened using digital breast tomosynthesis+synthetic mamm...
Mammography remains the current standard in the detection of breast cancer. However, conventional two-view mammography will not detect all cancers. The major limiting factor of conventio...
Tomosynthesis is a new digital mammographic tool which can be performed at the same time as routine screening mammography. It creates CT-like slices through the breast, minimizing the tiss...
Tomosynthesis is proposed to improve breast cancer assessment and staging. We compared tomosynthesis and mammography in estimating the size of newly-diagnosed breast cancers.
To compare the efficacy of use of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) with standard digital mammography (DM) workup views in the breast cancer assessment clinic.
The purpose of this article is to compare outcomes of findings seen on one view only from screening full-field digital mammography (FFDM) and FFDM plus digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT).
Tomosynthesis approximates a 3D mammogram of the breast, reducing parenchymal overlap that masks cancers or creates false "lesions" on 2D mammography, and potentially enabling more accurate detection ...
The aim of this study was to evaluate the detection rate and diagnostic performance of 2-dimensional synthetic mammography (SM) as an adjunct to wide-angle digital breast tomosynthesis (WA-DBT) compar...
Measurement of relative composition of different BREAST tissue types often determined from MAMMOGRAPHY; ULTRASONOGRAPHY; or MRI.
Radiographic examination of the breast.
A type of oropharyngeal airway that provides an alternative to endotracheal intubation and standard mask anesthesia in certain patients. It is introduced into the hypopharynx to form a seal around the larynx thus permitting spontaneous or positive pressure ventilation without penetration of the larynx or esophagus. It is used in place of a facemask in routine anesthesia. The advantages over standard mask anesthesia are better airway control, minimal anesthetic gas leakage, a secure airway during patient transport to the recovery area, and minimal postoperative problems.
Breast neoplasms that do not express ESTROGEN RECEPTORS; PROGESTERONE RECEPTORS; and do not overexpress the NEU RECEPTOR/HER-2 PROTO-ONCOGENE PROTEIN.
Any neoplasms of the male breast. These occur infrequently in males in developed countries, the incidence being about 1% of that in females.
