SHIVA02 - Evaluation of the Efficacy of Targeted Therapy Based on Tumor Molecular Profiling in Patients With Advanced Cancer Using Each Patient as Its Own Control

2017-03-21 21:38:22 | BioPortfolio

The study will evaluate the efficacy of targeted therapy based on tumor molecular profiling versus conventional chemotherapy in patients with advanced cancer using each patient as its own control. This study is a study involving patients with advanced cancer. All types of solid tumors will be allowed in the study.

Biopsies of Cancer Patients for Tumor Molecular Characterization

In this research study, we are looking at performing a repeat biopsy of patients' tumors, even though they have already been diagnosed with cancer. The tumor tissue obtained from the biop...

Presence of Circulating Tumor DNA in Colorectal Cancer

Cancer is a DNA disease characterized by the presence of genetics alterations in cancer cells. The recent studies underline that these recurring alterations must be considered as a good ...

Bergonie Institut Profiling : Fighting Cancer by Matching Molecular Alterations and Drugs in Early Phase Trials

This is a biology driven, monocentric study designed to identify actionable molecular alterations in cancer patients with advanced disease. In this trial, high throughput analysis will be...

Efficacy and Safety of Targeted Precision Therapy in Refractory Tumor With Druggable Molecular Event

This study is intended to evaluate efficacy and safety of targeted precision therapy in patients with refractory tumor, including rare tumor without standard recommended treatment and comm...

Genetic Analysis of Liver Cancer

Liver cancer is a leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. While the molecular pathogenesis of liver cancer has been extensively studied, less is known about how the molecular biology of ...

Missed Druggable Cancer Hallmark: Cancer-Stroma Symbiotic Crosstalk as Paradigm and Hypothesis for Cancer Therapy.

During tumor evolution, cancer cells use the tumor-stroma crosstalk to reorganize the microenvironment for maximum robustness of the tumor. The success of immune checkpoint therapy foretells a new can...

Cell-Free DNA in the Liquid Biopsy Context: Role and Differences Between ctDNA and CTC Marker in Cancer Management.

Liquid biopsy is a new diagnostic concept to investigate the molecular features of solid tumors by blood, saliva, urine, and any other body fluids which show a source of potential biomarkers. In cance...

Utility of ultrasound-guided liver tumor biopsy for next generation sequencing-based clinical sequencing.

Recent advances in next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies allow for evaluation of genetic alterations in various cancer-related genes in daily clinical practice. Archival formalin-fixed paraffi...

Dysregulation of Iron Metabolism in Cancer Stem Cells.

Cancer stem cells (CSCs) are a distinct subpopulation of tumor cells endowed with stem-like properties. Importantly, CSCs can survive current standard therapies, resulting in metastatic disease and tu...

Ribosome biogenesis: an emerging druggable pathway for cancer therapeutics.

Ribosomes are nanomachines essential for protein production in all living cells. Ribosome synthesis increases in cancer cells to cope with a rise in protein synthesis and sustain unrestricted growth. ...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

First lymph node to receive drainage from the primary tumor. SENTINEL LYMPH NODE BIOPSY is performed to determine early METASTASIS status because cancer cells may appear first in the sentinel node.

Component of the NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH. Through basic and clinical biomedical research and training, it conducts and supports research with the objective of cancer prevention, early stage identification and elimination. This Institute was established in 1937.

A proto-oncogene protein and member of the Wnt family of proteins. It is frequently up-regulated in human GASTRIC CANCER and is a tumor marker (TUMOR MARKERS, BIOLOGICAL) of gastric and COLORECTAL CANCER.
