This will be a prospective study examining the use of 99mTc-Annexin V-128 (AxV-128/Tc) single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT)/computerized tomography (CT) technology in the ima...
This is an open-label single photon emission tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) study to investigate the diagnostic performance and evaluation efficacy of 99mTc-ABH2 in breast cance...
The number of metastases in a patient with primary or recurrent prostate cancer has major prognostic implication. The purpose is to compare, in a pilot study, the diagnostic performance o...
This is an open-label SPECT/CT (single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography) study to investigate the diagnosis and efficacy evaluation performance of 99mTc-3PRGD2 in rh...
This is an open-label SPECT/CT (single photon emission computed tomography / computed tomography) study to investigate the safety and diagnostic performance of 99mTc-3PRGD2 in esophagus ca...
In this study, a D-glucosamine derivative with an isonitrile group (CN5DG) was synthesized and it was chosen to coordinate with 99mTc for preparing 99mTc-CN5DG. 99mTc-CN5DG could be readily obtained w...
Evaluation of thyroid ultrasound and Tc-pertechnetate scintigraphy side by side frequently produces ambiguous results regarding the correct assignment of anatomy and functionality of a nodule. We desc...
To assess the role of SPECT/CT in the evaluation of knee pain as well as comparing bone scintigraphy (BS), SPECT and SPECT/CT, and assessing the incremental value of SPECT/CT.
Thrombotic diseases rarely cause symptoms until advanced stage and sudden death. Thus, early detection of thrombus by a widely spread imaging modality can improve the prognosis and reduce mortality. H...
A method of computed tomography that uses radionuclides which emit a single photon of a given energy. The camera is rotated 180 or 360 degrees around the patient to capture images at multiple positions along the arc. The computer is then used to reconstruct the transaxial, sagittal, and coronal images from the 3-dimensional distribution of radionuclides in the organ. The advantages of SPECT are that it can be used to observe biochemical and physiological processes as well as size and volume of the organ. The disadvantage is that, unlike positron-emission tomography where the positron-electron annihilation results in the emission of 2 photons at 180 degrees from each other, SPECT requires physical collimation to line up the photons, which results in the loss of many available photons and hence degrades the image.
Healthy People Programs are a set of health objectives to be used by governments, communities, professional organizations, and others to help develop programs to improve health. It builds on initiatives pursued over the past two decades beginning with the 1979 Surgeon General's Report, Healthy People, Healthy People 2000: National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives, and Healthy People 2010. These established national health objectives and served as the basis for the development of state and community plans. These are administered by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP). Similar programs are conducted by other national governments.
Governmental guidelines and objectives pertaining to public food supply and nutrition including recommendations for healthy diet and changes in food habits to ensure healthy diet.
