The Acute Effects of Interesterification of Commercially Used Fats on Postprandial Fat Metabolism

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether there are differences in postprandial metabolic indices following interesterified fats used commercially versus the corresponding un-int...

Effect of Palm Olein Intake on Lipid Profile and Appetite Regulation

Aims: To investigate whether acute ingestions of palm oil will have an effect on appetite regulation Design: A randomized, single blind, cross over design including 4 single study visits ...

Influence of Rapeseed Proteins on the Postprandial Metabolic Response

The aim of the study is to investigate the effect of rapeseed proteins on the postprandial metabolic response. Therefore, study participants will receive a meal rich in fat and carbohydrat...

Effect of the Antioxidant Micronutrients of Rapeseed Oil on the Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases (Optim'Oils)

The purpose of this study is to assess the effect of optimized oil (enriched with micronutriments) on the prevention on cardiovascular diseases. Randomised crossover dietary intervention ...

The Effect of Milk Protein vs Blends of Milk and Plant Protein on Growth Markers in 7-8 Year Old Healthy Danish Children

The purpose of PROGRO is to determine which combinations of milk and plant proteins are optimal to promote growth factors in children

Optimization of sugar recovery from rapeseed straw pretreated with FeCl.

In this work, rapeseed straw was pretreated with FeCl to achieve high sugar recoveries. Temperature (120-160 °C), and FeCl concentration (0.1-0.3 M) were selected as factors and modified accordin...

Integrated production of cellulosic bioethanol and succinic acid from rapeseed straw after dilute-acid pretreatment.

The aim of this study was to develop an integrated biofuel (cellulosic bioethanol) and biochemical (succinic acid) production process from rapeseed straw after dilute-acid pretreatment. Rapeseed straw...

Meal rich in rapeseed oil increases 24-h fat oxidation more than meal rich in palm oil.

The fatty acid composition of the diet has been linked to the prevalence of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Compared with monounsaturated fatty acids, saturated fatty acids decrease fat oxidatio...

An APETALA1 ortholog affects plant architecture and seed yield component in oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.).

Increasing the productivity of rapeseed as one of the widely cultivated oil crops in the world is of upmost importance. As flowering time and plant architecture play a key role in the regulation of ra...

Neurobiological effects of transcranial direct current stimulation in younger adults, older adults and mild cognitive impairment.

Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been investigated as a way to improve motor and cognitive functioning, with largely variable results. Currently, relatively little is known about the...

Healthy People Programs are a set of health objectives to be used by governments, communities, professional organizations, and others to help develop programs to improve health. It builds on initiatives pursued over the past two decades beginning with the 1979 Surgeon General's Report, Healthy People, Healthy People 2000: National Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Objectives, and Healthy People 2010. These established national health objectives and served as the basis for the development of state and community plans. These are administered by the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP). Similar programs are conducted by other national governments.

Governmental guidelines and objectives pertaining to public food supply and nutrition including recommendations for healthy diet and changes in food habits to ensure healthy diet.

Substituted thioglucosides. They are found in rapeseed (Brassica campestris) products and related cruciferae. They are metabolized to a variety of toxic products which are most likely the cause of hepatocytic necrosis in animals and humans.

The encapsulated embryos of flowering plants. They are used as is or for animal feed because of the high content of concentrated nutrients like starches, proteins, and fats. Rapeseed, cottonseed, and sunflower seed are also produced for the oils (fats) they yield.

Surgical reinnervation of a denervated peripheral target using a healthy donor nerve and/or its proximal stump. The direct connection is usually made to a healthy postlesional distal portion of a non-functioning nerve or implanted directly into denervated muscle or insensitive skin. Nerve sprouts will grow from the transferred nerve into the denervated elements and establish contact between them and the neurons that formerly controlled another area.
