Paclitaxel and Carboplatin in Women With Malignant Mixed Mullerian Tumors (MMMT) of the Uterus

The goal of this clinical research study is to find out if the combination of paclitaxel and carboplatin chemotherapy can shrink or slow the growth of mixed mullerian tumors (MMMT) of the ...

Role of Three Dimensional Ultrasound in the Diagnosis of Septate Uterus

Congenital uterine anomalies are found in 8% of infertile women and 24.5% of infertile women with a history of recurrent miscarriage, with septate and sub-septate uterus being the most com...

Evaluation of Hysterotomy Site After Open Fetal Surgery

This study is to review how the uterus heals after having open fetal surgery. Open fetal surgery causes a scar perhaps two: one from the open fetal surgery and a second from delivery by c...

Uterus Transplantation From Live Donors and From Deceased Donors - Clinical Study

Uterus transplantation (UTx) is the only causative treatment for congenital or acquired uterus absence. Individual cases of UTx from a live donor (LD UTx) with healthy child birth performe...

Sequential Volume Measurement of Postpartum Uterus Using 3-dimensional Sonographies

Women who naturally deliver a singleton will be invited to participate the study. Weekly transabdominal and/or transvaginal ultrasound examinations will be offered until the uterus is com...

Fetal hydrometrocolpos and congenital imperforate hymen: Prenatal and postnatal imaging features.

Congenital imperforate hymen is probably the most common obstructive anomaly of the female reproductive tract. The accumulation of fluid in the genital tract leads to a distended uterus and vagina, ca...

Mullerian Anomaly With Pelvic Pain.

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

A pair of ducts near the WOLFFIAN DUCTS in a developing embryo. In the male embryo, they degenerate with the appearance of testicular ANTI-MULLERIAN HORMONE. In the absence of anti-mullerian hormone, mullerian ducts give rise to the female reproductive tract, including the OVIDUCTS; UTERUS; CERVIX; and VAGINA.

A glycoprotein that causes regression of MULLERIAN DUCTS. It is produced by SERTOLI CELLS of the TESTES. In the absence of this hormone, the Mullerian ducts develop into structures of the female reproductive tract. In males, defects of this hormone result in persistent Mullerian duct, a form of MALE PSEUDOHERMAPHRODITISM.

The use of ultrasound to guide minimally invasive surgical procedures such as needle ASPIRATION BIOPSY; DRAINAGE; etc. Its widest application is intravascular ultrasound imaging but it is useful also in urology and intra-abdominal conditions.

A condition in which the UTERUS is found tilted backward toward the spine. The uterus is more commonly found in a straight vertical or anteverted (tipped forward) position. Although retroverted uterus is a normal variant position without symptoms, it is sometimes associated with pain, discomfort and other pregnancy complications.

Tissue ablation of the PROSTATE performed by ultrasound from a transducer placed in the RECTUM. The procedure is used to treat prostate cancer (PROSTATIC NEOPLASMS) and benign prostatic hypertrophy (PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA).
