Participatory Action Research to Evaluate the Delivery of the MISSION ABC Service Model and Assess Health Service and Clinical Outcomes

Innovations aimed at improving new patient identification, diagnosis, nonpharmacological treatment, supported self-management, and remote monitoring, together with new methods of clinical ...

Cost-effective Hearing Aid Delivery Models

One of the most commonly reported reasons for people not seeking hearing aids (HAs) intervention is the high cost of HAs and the associated audiological fitting services. Because HAs fitte...

BRIDGE: Improving HIV Service Delivery for People Who Inject Drugs

Scaling up integrated, cost-efficient HIV services for people who inject drugs (PWID) in Needle Syringe Programs (NSPs) is urgently needed in Kazakhstan, where only one-third of the estima...

Validation of a Virtual Model of Service Delivery for Choroidal Nevi

Choroidal nevomelanocytic lesions have a high prevalence affecting up to 7% of the entire population and are increasingly incidentally identified during routine eye check- ups in community...

Evaluation of a Smart Phone App-based Case Management Model Among ART-naive HIV-infected MSM

This is a randomized controlled trial about an app-based case management intervention. The intervention is a comprehensive case management approach consisting of the following aspects: art...

Current status of nanoscale drug delivery systems for colorectal cancer liver metastasis.

Tumor metastasis is a major cause of colorectal cancer-related deaths. The liver is a common site of colorectal cancer metastasis. There is no effective treatment for patients with colorectal cancer w...

Impact of a progressive stepped care approach in an improving access to psychological therapies service: An observational study.

England's national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme advocates stepped care as its organizational delivery of psychological therapies to common mental health problems. There...

Patient satisfaction with a hospital-in-the-home service.

The hospital-in-the-home (HitH) model is an alternative model of healthcare that allows patients to return home and receive short-term treatment in a familiar environment. The objective of the present...

Dual-active targeting liposomes drug delivery system for bone metastatic breast cancer: synthesis and biological evaluation.

Bone is the most common organ affected by metastatic breast cancer. Targeting cancers within the bone remains a great challenge due to the inefficient delivery of therapeutic to bone. In order to incr...

Tissue-engineered nanoclay based 3D in vitro breast cancer model for studying breast cancer metastasis to bone.

Breast cancer (BrCa) preferentially spreads to bone and colonizes within the bone marrow to cause bone metastases. To improve the outcome of patients with breast cancer bone metastasis, we need to und...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Metastatic breast cancer characterized by EDEMA and ERYTHEMA of the affected breast due to LYMPHATIC METASTASIS and eventual obstruction of LYMPHATIC VESSELS by the cancer cells.

Mucocellular carcinoma of the ovary, usually metastatic from the gastrointestinal tract, characterized by areas of mucoid degeneration and the presence of signet-ring-like cells. It accounts for 30%-40% of metastatic cancers to the ovaries and possibly 1%-2% of all malignant ovarian tumors. The lesions may not be discovered until the primary disease is advanced, and most patients die of their disease within a year. In some cases, a primary tumor is not found. (From Dorland, 27th ed; Holland et al., Cancer Medicine, 3d ed, p1685)

Statistical formulations or analyses which, when applied to data and found to fit the data, are then used to verify the assumptions and parameters used in the analysis. Examples of statistical models are the linear model, binomial model, polynomial model, two-parameter model, etc.

Research concerned with establishing costs of nursing care, examining the relationships between nursing services and quality patient care, and viewing problems of nursing service delivery within the broader context of policy analysis and delivery of health services (from a national study, presented at the 1985 Council on Graduate Education for Administration in Nursing (CGEAN) meeting).

An estrogen responsive cell line derived from a patient with metastatic human breast ADENOCARCINOMA (at the Michigan Cancer Foundation.)
