To compare the effect of vaginal dinoprostone versus vaginal misoprostol administered before the copper intrauterine device(IUD) insertion in reducing IUD inertion pain and the difficulty in inserting the IUD in nulliparous women.
Long-acting reversible contraception methods are highly effective methods for reduction of the unplanned pregnancy rate worldwide. The intrauterine device is a single procedure that provides reliable, effective and long term contraception for many women. However, the insertion procedure can be associated with a troublesome degree of pain that prevent some women from choosing its use. Different interventions have been described to decrease pain perception during intrauterine device insertion with no agreement on an effective one.

The aim of the work is to assess the effect of combined misoprostol 200 mcg and isosorbide mononitrate 40 mg versus misoprostol 200 mcg and placebo as local vaginal tablet on the successfu...
To investigate whether vaginal dinoprostone administered before the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system(IUs) insertion reduces IUD insertion pain and difficulty in insertion in ad...
Different ways of reducing pain during IUD insertion have been explored. So a randomized study will be conducted to test their role
The aim of the study was to assess whether vaginal administration of misoprostol before copper intrauterine device (IUD) insertion increased the success of the procedure among parous women with previo...
The aim of this study is the compare the effectiveness and safety of Misoprostol Vaginal Insert (Mysodelle) versus Dinoprostone intravaginal gel (Prostin) for induction of labour.
A factorial-design randomized controlled trial comparing misoprostol alone to Dilapan with misoprostol and comparing buccal to vaginal misoprostol for same-day cervical preparation prior to Dilation & Evacuation at 14weeks 0days to 19weeks 6days gestation.
To compare procedure times following same-day cervical preparation using misoprostol 400 mcg alone or misoprostol 400 mcg plus hygroscopic dilators for dilation and evacuation (D&E) before 20weeks ges...
to evaluate the efficacy of vaginal dinoprostone in reducing pain perception during diagnostic office hysteroscopy (OH) in postmenopausal women.
Our objective was to compare the efficacy of a 200-μg misoprostol vaginal insert (MVI) vs oral misoprostol regarding the cesarean section rate and the time interval to vaginal delivery in nulliparous...
Complication of CHOLELITHIASIS characterized by OBSTRUCTIVE JAUNDICE; abdominal pain, and fever.
A mutation named with the blend of insertion and deletion. It refers to a length difference between two ALLELES where it is unknowable if the difference was originally caused by a SEQUENCE INSERTION or by a SEQUENCE DELETION. If the number of nucleotides in the insertion/deletion is not divisible by three, and it occurs in a protein coding region, it is also a FRAMESHIFT MUTATION.
Misunderstanding among individuals, frequently research subjects, of scientific methods such as randomization and placebo controls.
The most common and most biologically active of the mammalian prostaglandins. It exhibits most biological activities characteristic of prostaglandins and has been used extensively as an oxytocic agent. The compound also displays a protective effect on the intestinal mucosa.
A synthetic analog of natural prostaglandin E1. It produces a dose-related inhibition of gastric acid and pepsin secretion, and enhances mucosal resistance to injury. It is an effective anti-ulcer agent and also has oxytocic properties.
