A Study Evaluating the Safety, Tolerance and Anti-tumor Activity of a Study Drug in Subjects With Advanced Solid Tumors

2019-10-28 13:57:18 | BioPortfolio

Summary

This is a study to evaluate the safety and tolerability of the study drug HBM4003, and to determine the maximum tolerated dose and/or recommended Phase 2 study dose of HBM4003. Participants will receive 3 escalating doses of HBM4003, with the possibility of a fourth, higher dose level following review by a Safety Committee. The study will also look at the anti-tumor activity of HBM4003.

Phase I trial of belinostat in combination with 13-cis-retinoic acid in advanced solid tumor malignancies: a California Cancer Consortium NCI/CTEP sponsored trial.

The reported maximum tolerated dose (MTD) of single-agent belinostat is 1000 mg/m given days 1-5, every 21 days. Pre-clinical evidence suggests histone deacetylase inhibitors enhance retinoic acid s...

Pegilodecakin combined with pembrolizumab or nivolumab for patients with advanced solid tumours (IVY): a multicentre, multicohort, open-label, phase 1b trial.

IL-10 has anti-inflammatory and CD8+ T-cell stimulating activities. Pegilodecakin (pegylated IL-10) is a first-in-class, long-acting IL-10 receptor agonist that induces oligoclonal T-cell expansion an...

The tumor vasculature an attractive CAR T cell target in solid tumors.

T cells armed with a chimeric antigen receptor, CAR T cells, have shown extraordinary activity against certain B lymphocyte malignancies, when targeted towards the CD19 B cell surface marker. These re...

Changes in population-level survival for advanced solid malignancies with new treatment options in the second decade of the 21st century.

Several new treatments that improve survival in clinical trials have been developed for various solid malignancies in advanced stages. The effect of these options on survival in the general population...

Phase I study of capmatinib in MET-positive solid tumor patients: dose escalation and expansion of selected cohorts.

Capmatinib is an oral, ATP-competitive, and a highly potent, type 1b MET inhibitor. Here, we report phase I dose-escalation results for capmatinib in advanced MET-positive solid tumor patients and dos...

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

A transplantable, poorly differentiated malignant tumor which appeared originally as a spontaneous breast carcinoma in a mouse. It grows in both solid and ascitic forms.

A malignant cystic or semisolid tumor most often occurring in the ovary. Rarely, one is solid. This tumor may develop from a mucinous cystadenoma, or it may be malignant at the onset. The cysts are lined with tall columnar epithelial cells; in others, the epithelium consists of many layers of cells that have lost normal structure entirely. In the more undifferentiated tumors, one may see sheets and nests of tumor cells that have very little resemblance to the parent structure. (Hughes, Obstetric-Gynecologic Terminology, 1972, p184)

A solid tumor consisting of a dense infiltration of MAST CELLS. It is generally benign.

Mucocellular carcinoma of the ovary, usually metastatic from the gastrointestinal tract, characterized by areas of mucoid degeneration and the presence of signet-ring-like cells. It accounts for 30%-40% of metastatic cancers to the ovaries and possibly 1%-2% of all malignant ovarian tumors. The lesions may not be discovered until the primary disease is advanced, and most patients die of their disease within a year. In some cases, a primary tumor is not found. (From Dorland, 27th ed; Holland et al., Cancer Medicine, 3d ed, p1685)

An adenocarcinoma in which the tumor elements are arranged as finger-like processes or as a solid spherical nodule projecting from an epithelial surface.
