Prevalence of Malnutrition at a Swedish Hospital

Summary

The aim of the study is to describe the nutritional status among elderly patients admitted to hospital and to analyze the association with mortality and the costs of health care consumption. Further the aim is to analyze predictive factors for malnutrition.

The hypothesis is that malnourished patients have a higher mortality then well-nourished patients after three years.
