2014-08-27 03:13:22 | BioPortfolio

Summary

This is an open label, three cohort, sequential pilot clinical trial for subjects with recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal cancer to determine the feasibility and safety as well as immunogenicity of OCDC, an autologous vacccine comprised of autologous dendritic cells (DC), administered intranodally alone or in combination with either intravenous Daclizumab or with a combination of Daclizumab and intravenous Bevacizumab.

Description

The primary objective is to compare the feasibility and safety of administering OC-DC intranodally alone or and in combination with either intravenous Daclizumab alone or intravenous Bevacizumab and Daclizumab in subjects with recurrent ovarian, fallopian tube, primary peritoneal or papillary serous endometrial cancer. The secondary objective is to assess the immunogenicity of OC-DC administered alone or combined with either intravenous Daclizumab alone or intravenous Bevacizumab and Daclizumab and to assess the effect of OC-DC alone or combined with either intravenous Daclizumab alone or intravenous Bevacizumab and Daclizumab on peripheral blood T cell subsets including regulatory T cells and finally to asses the clinical response rates.

Medical and Biotech [MESH] Definitions

Drug treatment designed to further diminish the disease toward complete remission following INDUCTION CHEMOTHERAPY. It helps to consolidate the gains during induction chemotherapy and may be followed by MAINTENANCE CHEMOTHERAPY.

Treatment designed to help prevent a relapse of a disease following the successful primary treatments (INDUCTION CHEMOTHERAPY and CONSOLIDATION CHEMOTHERAPY) with a long-term low-dose drug therapy.

Initial drug treatment designed to bring about REMISSION INDUCTION. It is typically a short-term and high-dose drug treatment that is followed by CONSOLIDATION CHEMOTHERAPY and then MAINTENANCE CHEMOTHERAPY.

FEVER accompanied by a significant reduction in NEUTROPHIL count associated with CHEMOTHERAPY.

Vinblastine derivative with antineoplastic activity against CANCER. Major side effects are myelosuppression and neurotoxicity. Vindesine is used extensively in chemotherapy protocols (ANTINEOPLASTIC COMBINED CHEMOTHERAPY PROTOCOLS).
